  • Publication number: 20070156972
Abstract: In a multi-processor system, counting snoop results bottlenecks the broadcast-based snoop protocol. The directory-based protocol delays the latency when remote node caches data. There is a need for shortening the memory access latency using a snoop and cache copy tag information. When the local node's cache copy tag information is available, the memory access latency can be shortened by omitting a process to count snoop results. When memory position information is used to update the cache copy tag during cache replacement, it is possible to increase a ratio to hit a copy tag during reaccess from the local node.

Abstract: The disclosed airbelt apparatus may provide an airbelt capable of being connected to an anchor. The airbelt apparatus may comprise an anchor and an airbelt with a bag and a mesh webbing covering the bag. The anchor may have an opening, wherein only a tip end side of a portion of the airbelt is inserted into the opening. The portion of the airbelt can be the mesh webbing only or a combination of the mesh webbing and a webbing. The portion of the airbelt inserted into the opening can be folded back so as to overlap onto a base end side of the airbelt, and the tip end side of the portion of the airbelt and the base end side of the airbelt are stitched together.

  • Publication number: 20060236040
Abstract: A case occurs in which a preceding transaction to be retried cannot be retried as a result of snooping. If the snoop result is waited for so that a retry decision may be made after the result of snoop has been obtained, latency is prolonged to urge the pipeline to have a variable length, thus complicating the logic. A transaction determined to be retried in the phase of issue of a request is discriminated from a transaction in course of issue and when a transaction representing a starvation protection object sequentially competes twice with the transaction in course of retry decision, the transaction of starvation protection object is issued to thereby eliminate starvation.

  • Publication number: 20060001728
Abstract: When a printing requirement is made, in the case where the internal temperature of a printer is equal to or lower than 40° C., print data is to be generated using a LUT for a normal state (S170), while in the case where the temperature is higher than 40° C., the user is allowed to select a subsequent operation via a high-temperature state selection screen (S120 and S130). When a print continuation button is pressed, print data is to be generated using a LUT for a high-temperature state (S180), while when a print standby button is pressed, a cooling command is to be sent out, and then print data is to be generated using the LUT for a normal state after waiting until the internal temperature becomes lower than 40° C.

  • Patent number: 6839806
Abstract: A cache system comprising a cache tag buffer 270 for storing a part of a cache tag memory 260. When a memory processing request is issued from a processor 10, a cache control means 280 retrieves both of the cache tag memory 260 and the cache tag buffer 270. If a target cache block is present in the cache tag buffer 270, then, without waiting for a retrieval result of the cache tag memory 260, the cache control circuit 280 accesses the cache data memory 250 using information of the cache block.

  • Publication number: 20030111936
Abstract: A SAW device is highly moisture-resistant, and thus, does not deteriorate in electrical properties. Plural SAW elements each having IDT electrodes mainly composed of aluminum are formed on a piezoelectric substrate. Then, the piezoelectric substrate is soaked in a solution containing phosphorous-ion, washed in water, and dried after being taken out of the solution. The piezoelectric substrate is then divided by dicing into each SAW element after the element is measured in frequency characteristics and sorted. Then, the SAW element is mounted to a package and electrically connected with a wire. Then, a lid closes an opening of the package.

  • Patent number: 6120937
Abstract: In a positive electrode for an alkaline storage battery, a layer is formed between a porous substrate as a core material and an active material including nickel hydroxide filled into the porous substrate. The layer includes an oxide containing cobalt and nickel and/or a hydroxide containing cobalt and nickel. In the hydroxide, the average of an oxidation number of a metal is more than +II. The layer has a high electric conductivity while keeping the high corrosion resistance. A utilization rate of the active material can be improved due to the high electric conductivity. An alkaline storage battery including such an electrode has a good cycle property.

  • Patent number: 5690893
Abstract: An analyzer includes an exchangeable and consumable element such as a sensor, column or reagent the characteristic of which specifies an analyzing condition. The element is provided with a non-volatile semiconductor memory which holds an analyzing condition adapted for the element as data. When the element is mounted on an analyzer body, a controller of the analyzer reads the analyzing condition from the memory to update an analyzing condition inherently provided in the analyzer body. The result of analysis and/or operational history information of use of the element may be written into the memory with which the element is provided.

  • Patent number: 5510714
Abstract: In a bird cage resonator, the axial length of rungs is changed between orthogonal elements. By doing this, the real view fields of orthogonal ports A and B in the sagittal direction are changed and the sensitivity difference between both view fields is reduced. For an object with an elliptical section to be inspected such as the human body, a remarkable difference in detection sensitivity between each orthogonal ports is eliminated and the receiving sensitivity of MRI apparatus employing the QD method is improved.
