  • Publication number: 20160192153
Abstract: A wireless communication apparatus includes an antenna unit, a wireless communication unit, an arithmetic unit, and an antenna control unit. The antenna unit receives wireless signals from wireless communication terminals existing in a communication area, and can change a direction of directivity. The wireless communication unit acquires pieces of position information contained in the wireless signals. The arithmetic unit calculates moving directions and moving speeds of the wireless communication terminals, and calculates remaining times based on the pieces of position information, the moving directions, and the moving speeds. The antenna control unit changes the direction of directivity of the antenna unit from a set first direction of directivity to a second direction of directivity based on the remaining time.

  • Publication number: 20160154084
Abstract: An information processing apparatus connected to a wireless base station configured to wirelessly communicate with a plurality of terminals, the wireless base station providing a predetermined point on a map to each of the plurality of the terminals as a reference position serving as a positioning reference. The information processing apparatus includes a information acquisition processor, a position calculator, a memory, a proximity detector, and a position updater. The proximity detector determines existence of a proximity terminal within a range of a preset proximity distance based on the radio field intensity on the inter-terminal communication for each of the plurality of the terminals obtained from each of the plurality of the terminals.

  • Publication number: 20150282169
Abstract: A wireless communication apparatus includes a transmission frame generator, a storage memory, and a controller. The transmission frame generator generates one of a management frame, a control frame, and a data frame for transmitting information via a wireless channel. The storage memory stores a first transmission output level at which the management frame is transmitted, and a second transmission output level which is higher than the first transmission output level and at which the control frame and the data frame are transmitted. The controller reads out, from the storage memory, a transmission output level corresponding to a type of a transmission frame generated by the transmission frame generator, and transmits, at the read-out transmission output level, the frame generated by the transmission frame generator.

  • Patent number: 9141294
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a controller for a storage apparatus is disclosed having interfaces connectable to a host system, a first storage apparatus and a second storage apparatus. A data in the first storage apparatus and a data in the second storage apparatus are duplicates. A status table stores the operating state regarding the first storage apparatus and the second storage apparatus, wherein the operating state indicates among writing, reading, or standing by. A monitor monitors the interfaces and set up the operating state into the status table. A buffer memory buffers the data for writing in the first storage apparatus and the second storage apparatus. A command response unit receives the data for writing and write-in request from a host system, and directs the writing of the data to the first storage apparatus and the second storage apparatus while making the buffer memory buffer the received data.

  • Publication number: 20150016436
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a wireless communication apparatus includes a wireless unit and a MAC processor. The wireless unit transmits a beacon via a wireless communication. The MAC processor controls a period at which the beacon is transmitted. The MAC processor includes a determination unit and a controller. The determination unit determines that a process of connection to a terminal starts upon receiving a response signal to the beacon to output a start signal upon receiving a response signal to the beacon. The controller transmits the beacon at a first period before the start signal is output and switches the period of transmission of the beacon from the first period to a second period when the start signal is output.

  • Publication number: 20150012633
Abstract: According to one embodiment, device includes first unit, second unit, managing unit, and determining unit. The device is connected with terminals via a wireless line and delivers content to the terminals. The first unit performs connection process with respect to the terminal. The second unit performs communication with the external device. The managing unit identifies each of the terminals, and stores and manages terminal information representing a delivery status of the content to the each of the terminals. The determining unit determines, from among terminals in which terminal information is managed in the managing unit and to which the content has not been delivered, a terminal that is to perform the connection process through the first unit based on an estimation value of a remaining time in which each of the terminals is able to stay in a communication area connectable via the wireless line.

  • Patent number: 8918560
Abstract: A controller for a storage device is connected to a host system and the storage device. A buffer memory includes first and second storage areas. A timer counts a preset given time in response to an instruction to start counting and sends a deadline notification when A given time is elapsed. A command responding portion, when receiving a read command from the host system, instructs the timer to start counting and thereafter outputs a read instruction to read data from the storage system. A data processing portion, in response to the read instruction by the command responding portion, reads specified data from the storage device and holds the read data in the second storage area of the buffer memory. A read control portion sends the host system the data held in the second storage area of the buffer memory when the deadline notification is received from the timer.

  • Patent number: 8880832
Abstract: A controller is connectable to a host system and a plurality of storage devices. A monitor unit monitors operating status of a plurality of storage devices and sets the operating status of the storage devices in a status table. Upon receiving a write command from the host system, a command responding unit receives write data sent from the host system within a certain period of time after the write command, holds the write data received in a buffer memory, instructs a timer to start counting, sets a write destination for data in the status table, outputs a control signal that gives an instruction to write data to the storage device of the write destination, and returns a write completion response corresponding to the write command to the host system when receiving the deadline notification from the timer.
