  • Publication number: 20090273252
Abstract: A magnetic field element includes magnetic field portions and a coupling portion and is rotatable on a rotation axis along a given direction. Each magnetic field portion includes a magnet and magnetic plates. The magnet includes first and second pole faces having different polarities from each other in the given direction. The magnetic-material plates are provided on the first and second pole faces. The magnetic field portions are annularly arranged along a circumferential direction around the rotation axis and spaced in the circumferential direction from one another. The coupling portion is made of a non-magnetic material and couples the magnetic field portions to one another.

  • Publication number: 20090230811
Abstract: A motor includes a rotating shaft, a rotor fixed to the rotating shaft, and first and second stators facing each other on opposite axial sides of the rotor with a gap in between. Each of the first and second stators includes a back yoke, teeth circumferentially arranged on a gap side of a respective one of the back yokes, and coils wound around the teeth. The back yoke of the first stator has a portion facing an end face of the rotating shaft, and the back yoke of the second stator has a shaft hole through which the rotating shaft passes. The thickness Ty1 of the back yoke of the first stator is set smaller than the thickness Ty12 of the back yoke of the second stator.

  • Publication number: 20090212652
Abstract: A magnetic member with an annular outer periphery and an inner periphery includes first portions and second portions alternately disposed in its circumferential direction. The first portions and second portions are magnetically separated in the circumferential direction by gaps, which block magnetic fluxes from flowing in the circumferential direction between the first portion and second portion. The first portions respectively have holes extending almost in the circumferential direction. The gaps are provided at both ends of the holes in the circumferential direction between the outer periphery and inner periphery. An interior permanent magnet type rotor can be structured by inserting field magnets into the holes.

  • Patent number: 7578660
Abstract: A compression mechanism has a cylinder, a suction passage and a discharge passage. The suction passage of a cylinder is connected to a suction pipe. The discharge passage is open to an inner space of a sealed housing. A discharge gas is discharged through a discharge pipe. The cylinder is formed with a communicating passage extending from a suction passage to a suction pressure chamber to lead a suction gas in the suction passage into the suction pressure chamber and thereby allow a pressure of the suction gas in the suction passage to act on an outside surface of the cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20090127962
Abstract: A rotor includes a core extending in a predetermined directions, and a plurality of magnets. The core has parts formed by magnetic materials and extending in the predetermined direction. The parts are arranged in a loop around the part, and face the part through gaps. The magnets are buried in the gaps in the form of a loop in the core. The magnets have pole faces extending in the predetermined direction. In each of the magnets, at least one of ends of the magnet protrudes forward in parallel to the predetermined direction with respect to an end of the part that is on the same side with the at least one of the ends of the magnet.

  • Patent number: 7500836
Abstract: A compressor has a cylindrical sealed container, a compression mechanism and a motor. The compression mechanism has a cylinder with an intake passage passing through the cylinder in the radial direction. The sealed container has a coupling member having a tip end face facing the periphery of the intake passage in the outer face of the cylinder and a base end to which an intake pipe is mounted. The tip end face of the coupling member serves as a flat sealed face. A concave groove is formed in a peripheral part around the intake passage in the outer face of the cylinder and an O ring is fitted therein. The O ring is pressed against the tip end face of the coupling member, sealing a gap between the cylinder and the coupling member.

  • Patent number: 7411329
Abstract: The present invention provides a permanent-magnet-synchronous-motor having a stator with concentrated windings with the following structure so that permanent magnet (6) is hard to subjected to demagnetization magnetic field: 0.3 Lg<La?2.0 Lg, where La is a clearance between teeth of stator (1), and Lg is an air-gap between stator (1) and rotor (2). Outer walls of both ends of the permanent magnet (6) disposed within rotor (2) in a rim direction may be tapered toward inside from a rotor rim in a radial direction and to form a recessed section on the outer walls of the magnets. As a result, withstanding force against demagnetization is expected to increase.

  • Publication number: 20050175494
Abstract: A discharge valve mechanism has discharge openings. The number of discharge openings to be placed in the open state is varied depending on the pressure and the flow rate of gas refrigerant discharged from a compression chamber. Accordingly, the occurrence of overcompression losses at the time of controlling of the variable displacement of a compressor is inhibited during the operation from small to large displacement. This achieves improvements in compressor operating efficiency.

  • Patent number: 6799362
Abstract: A motor and a method for manufacturing thereof use a rotor having permanent magnets and stators. The highest revolving speed of a motor is adjusted by using end plates of different thickness. The end plates are made of a magnetic material and disposed at the end faces of the rotor. The end plates made of a magnetic material provide part of the magnetic flux generated from the permanent magnets with short circuits within the inside of the rotor. The magnetic flux that links with the coil can be adjusted by using end plates of different thickness. Therefore, the highest revolving speed of a motor can be finely adjusted with ease.
