  • Patent number: 5387403
Abstract: A sterilizing apparatus installed on a car includes a nozzle-installing pipe on which a plurality of nozzles are mounted at regular intervals, a driving mechanism for varying the spray angles of the nozzles, a driving mechanism for controlling the spray time periods, a supply mechanism for supplying disinfectant to a disinfectant-flowing path equipped in the nozzle-installing pipe, a plurality of tanks containing disinfectant to be supplied to the supply mechanisms and control mechanisms for controlling the operation of the driving mechanisms. The car is moved to a required place in a hospital, and the nozzles are operated by spray disinfectant particles, the diameter of which are 10 .mu.m or less.

  • Patent number: 5193746
Abstract: A nozzle is disclosed which has a cylindrical nozzle main body. A nozzle tip of the nozzle comprises a plurality of members formed by dividing an approximately cylindrical member in the axial direction thereof and is accommodated in the interior of the nozzle main body. A spring is provided between a spring receiving section of the nozzle tip and a wall positioned on a forward side of the nozzle main body. At least one of a peripheral surface of a discharge section of the nozzle tip and an inner surface of a tip engaging opening of the nozzle main body is tapered. A self-cleaning operation is performed when the atomization pressure is reduced, because the spring urges the nozzle tip toward a rearward side of the nozzle main body.

  • Patent number: 4646977
Abstract: A spray nozzle which has a nozzle main body and opening at one end in fluid communication with an inflow hole passing into the central portion of the nozzle main body. The inflow hole has a rounded orifice portion in fluid communication with an elongated discharge slot at an opposite end of the nozzle main body. Stirring channels extend along and are in fluid communication with the inflow hole. Each stirring channel has a cup-shaped end which is laterally adjacent the rounded orifice portion of the inflow hole. The cut-shaped portion of the stirring holes causes a reverse flow of mixed gas and liquid which passes down the stirring channels such that mixed gas and liquid passing through the inflow hole towards the elongated discharge slot is agitated and a uniform spray with fine droplets is jetted from the discharge slot.
