Patent number: 5611209Abstract: A dehumidifier which vaporizes water separated from gas is disclosed. Relatively hot and humid air is cooled and dehumidified by a refrigerating passageway. Water separated from the hot and humid air is drained into a drainage container via a draining pipe. A plurality of fins extending radially are provided on the outer periphery of a heat radiating portion, which is a portion of a refrigerating circuit. Capillary action of the fins enables the fins to absorb water collected in the drainage container. The water contacts the radiating portion where the water is heated and vaporized.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 1995Date of Patent: March 18, 1997Assignee: CKD CorporationInventors: Yoshinari Ogasawara, Fumio Kawato

Patent number: 5327740Abstract: A dehumidifier includes an elongated body in which a first open ended chamber and a second open ended chamber are defined parallel to each other along the longitudinal direction of the body. A first cover and a second cover are detachably secured to the ends of the body, to cover the open ends of the first and second chambers, respectively. An evaporator is housed in the first chamber. A pipe is disposed in the second chamber, and divides the second chamber into a precooling zone, which corresponds to the internal space of the pipe extending along the axis thereof, and a reheating zone which corresponds to the external space. A path connects the outlet of the precooling zone and the inlet of the first chamber, and is defined between the dehumidifier body and the second cover, for feeding the air from the precooling zone to the first chamber.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 1992Date of Patent: July 12, 1994Assignee: CKD CorporationInventors: Yoshinari Ogasawara, Masumu Satoh, Kazuyoshi Hanazawa

Patent number: 4875911Abstract: Apparatus for separating gaseous mixtures comprising a pair of separator vessels each packed with adsorbent material such as silica gel, activated alumina or molecular sieves or absorbent material such as lithium chloride with serving as separating material, wherein a separating cycle during which air containing water vapor or gaseous mixture consisting of two or more different components such as nitrogen and oxygen is fed into one of the separator vessels to remove one or more components from the mixture and a regenerating cycle during which the processed gaseous mixture is partially fed into the other separator vessel to remove the quantity of components previously adsorbed or adsorbed by the separating material present within this separator vessel and thereby to regenerate the separating material are alternately repeated and wherein there are provided regeneration promoting separator vessels for further removal of the components to a lower concentration.Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 1987Date of Patent: October 24, 1989Assignee: CKD Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Shinji Mizuno, Humio Kawato, Kazuyoshi Hanazawa, Tatsuaki Aoyama, Yoshinari Ogasawara

Patent number: 4773270Abstract: A pressure gage for indicating pressure and variations thereof of a physical variable being monitored. The gage is provided with a circular dial having on the face thereof a pheripheral marginal portion or border green in color and graduations disposed internally of the green peripheral border. A pair of movable arcuate opaque cover plates, each made as an arc of an annulus, are disposed coaxial with the dial and graduations on the face of the dial. The plates are movably mounted for positioning thereof selectively in a circumferential direction of the dial for partially covering the marginal peripheral portion or border of the face of the dial. The plates are positionable selectively so that two opposed ends thereof define a space therebetween so that a green area of the border, which defines a range of selected pressure graduations on the dial, corresponds therewith.Type: GrantFiled: February 24, 1987Date of Patent: September 27, 1988Assignee: CKD Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yoshinari Ogasawara, Hideaki Matsunaga

Patent number: 4508143Abstract: A drain discharging apparatus capable of automatically discharging drain in compressed air, comprises a body formed therein with a drain reservoir chamber for receiving the drain and compressed air and with an inlet port and an outlet port both communicated with the drain reservoir chamber. A pair of poppet valves selectively communicate the drain reservoir chamber with the inlet port or the outlet port. A cam rotatable within the reservoir chamber alternately opens the poppet valves. A motor rotates the cam, which also is manually operable.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1982Date of Patent: April 2, 1985Assignee: CKD CorporationInventor: Yoshinari Ogasawara

Patent number: 4494561Abstract: A condensate discharging apparatus has a housing formed therein with a condensate reservoir chamber and with an inlet port and an outlet port both communicated with said reservoir chamber through a valve chest, a rotary valve disposed rotatably within the valve chest and having a valve port for communicating the reservoir chamber alternatively with either the inlet port or the outlet port, and a motor for rotating the rotary valve. Within the condensate reservoir chamber, a tube is attached to the lower portion of a body of the housing for communicating between the valve chest and the lower portion of the drain reservoir chamber, so as to discharge the condensate in the lower portion of the reservoir chamber to the outside through the outlet port.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1982Date of Patent: January 22, 1985Assignee: CKD CorporationInventor: Yoshinari Ogasawara
