Abstract: A method for a storage control apparatus for controlling a plurality of storage units, each of the plurality of storage units having data area for storing data includes receiving a first command for copying data stored in a first data area of the storage units into a second data area of the storage units from an exterior, executing copying in accordance with the first command, receiving a second command for copying data stored in the second data area into the first data area from the exterior, executing copying in accordance with the second command, receiving a third command for cancelling copying corresponding to the first command and a fourth command for cancelling copying corresponding to the second command from the exterior until completion of copying process corresponding to at least one of the first and second command, and invalidating one of the third command and the fourth command.
