  • Patent number: 5310156
Abstract: An earthquake-proof leg support structure (10) of an electronic apparatus comprising a leg (12) vertically downwardly extending from the outer case (1) and a dish-shaped leg support seat (20) to receive the leg (12). The leg support seat (20) includes a metal element (28) having an upper surface (22) over which the leg (12) slides and a peripheral flange (24) against which the leg (12) abuts, and a plastic liner (30) having a lower flat smooth surface (26) which is slidable on the floor. The lower end surface (14) of the leg is of a convex spherical shape and the upper surface (22) of the leg support seat includes a central surface portion (22a) of a concave spherical shape and a cone-shaped slope portion (22b) arranged around and tangential to the central surface portion, with the radius of curvature of the leg (12) being smaller than that of the upper surface (22) of the leg support seat (20 ).

  • Patent number: 4717503
Abstract: A demolition agent for brittle materials in the form of a powder mixture comprising 100 parts by weight of quicklime, 0.05 to 5 parts by weight of a carbonate and either or both of 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a hydroxy-carboxylic acid or its salt and 0.1 to 5 parts by weight of a fluidization agent. This demolition agent is used by admixing with water to obtain an aqueous slurry, pouring the slurry into a hole drilled in a brittle material and allowing it to stand to demolish the brittle material by means of expansive pressure from the slurry.

  • Patent number: 4636323
Abstract: A lubricating oil composition for metal rolling is described, comprising (a) an oily component comprising one or more of fats and oils, mineral oils, and fatty acid esters, and (b) a dispersant comprising one or more of polyethyleneimine/epoxy compound adducts, polyethylene polyamine/epoxy compound adducts, fatty acid esters of the adducts, and salts of the adducts and the fatty acid esters. This composition is useful for rolling metals under high shear and high rolling speed conditions.

  • Patent number: 4411702
Abstract: A method for sheet forming a remarkably waterproof gypsum hardened body, in which a main component consisting of gypsum dihydrate, slag and calcium hydroxide and additives are added with a part of the main component coated with a hydrophobic diorganopolysiloxane fluid having a kinetic viscosity of 10-10,000 CS at 25.degree. to be sheet formed and cured. The hydrophobic diorganopolysiloxane fluid is uniformly dispersed through the sheet formed gypsum hardened body and its strong water repelling property makes the gypsum hardened body remarkably waterproof to be used suitably as both interior and outdoor construction materials.

  • Patent number: 4146402
Abstract: A process for producing a fiber-reinforced hardened body comprising mixing gypsum and slag in a ratio by weight of the former to the latter between 3:7 and 7:3 to prepare a main starting material, adding to the main starting material 1 - 30% by weight of reinforcing fiber, 0.1 - 5% by weight of alkali salt substance and 0.1 - 5% by weight of aluminum sulfate-containing substance, the respective amounts being based on the weight of the main starting material, further adding water to knead and mold the resulting starting material mixture, and curing the molded starting material mixture under normal condition or steam-curing the molded starting material mixture at 90.degree. C. or below.
