Patent number: 6802048Abstract: A design support apparatus, when designing multichip packages, verifies connections between a semiconductor chip and leads of a lead frame. Distances between two wires or distances between the wires and the other components are calculated using three-dimensional drawing data (CAD data) and semiconductor package data. Components of the semiconductor packages such as wires, lead frames, or die pads are drawn in the three-dimensional drawing data. The semiconductor package data describes specifications of the semiconductor packages such as outer sizes of the packages. Distance values are compared with design rule data. The design rule data defines constraints on the positional relationship between each wire and each component. The design support apparatus determines whether the acquired positional relationship is proper on the basis of design rule data.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 2002Date of Patent: October 5, 2004Assignee: Renesas Technology Corp.Inventors: Akihiro Goto, Takao Takahashi, Yoshio Matsuda, Takashi Arita, Koji Bando, Akinobu Kawazu

Patent number: 6742226Abstract: In a slide fastener made of fabric having a stopper portion composed of thermoplastic synthetic resin material, the fastener tape contains a rough-pattern-structure region at least adjacent to a side of the fastener element row on an inner side of the fastener tape. An end portion of the stopper portion on the inner side of the fastener tape is disposed in the rough-pattern-structure region and fused to a foundation structure of the fastener tape in the rough-pattern-structure region. Thus, even if the length of the stopper portion in the tape width direction is short, the stopper portion does not interfere with a sewing machine foot during sewing, so that the sewing line does not meander even at the position near the fastener element row. Further, the end portion of the stopper portion can be fused and fixed to the foundation structure of the rough-pattern-structure region.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2002Date of Patent: June 1, 2004Assignee: YKK CorporationInventors: Yoshio Matsuda, Yoshifumi Nakata

Patent number: 6651296Abstract: There is provided a knit-in slide fastener in which a continuous fastener element row is knitted simultaneously with the knitting of a warp knitted fastener tape at a fastener element mounting portion on a longitudinal side edge portion of the fastener tape. Since a yarn composed of ordinary long fibers, or a textured yarn is employed as a fixing knitting yarn for the fastener element mounting portion, even if a sewing needle is pierced into the textured yarn, the fixing knitting yarn is never cut off because the sewing needle passes through a number of fibers which compose the textured yarn. Further, even when part of the fibers are cut off, no fraying occurs in the yarns, so that the fastener element row at the cut off portions does not separate from the fastener tape.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2002Date of Patent: November 25, 2003Assignee: YKK CorporationInventor: Yoshio Matsuda

Patent number: 6282926Abstract: A tape of the fastening device made of synthetic resin is composed of an attachment area formed of one or more wales disposed at right and left edge portions of the tape in the width direction thereof and a fastener-molding area formed of plural wales in a center portion in the width direction. The warp knitted tape is entirely composed of a knitting structure formed by tangling of tricot stitch yarns and single cord stitch yarns, and chain stitch yarns are further knitted in the fastener-molding area so as to suppress stretching property in a warp direction of the area to a maximum extent and ensure a dimensional stability. The attachment area is composed of a knitting structure having required stretching property in its warp direction and some extent of stability in the dimensional form. Therefore, the fastening device with tape can be sewed to and along a curved line easily and can be adapted to an attachment object having stretching property well.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2000Date of Patent: September 4, 2001Assignee: YKK CorporationInventors: Yoshio Matsuda, Shunji Akashi, Kiyomasa Segawa

Patent number: 6180545Abstract: A reflecting warp-knit slide fastener tape is knitted with several kinds of knitting patterns. A marginal portion onto which fastener elements are attached extends along one longitudinal edge of the tape. The marginal portion is formed by tricot-stitch yarns, weft-inlaid yarns, and chain-stitch yarns which prevent the marginal portion from stretching. In the web portion, in addition to the tricot-stitch yarns and the weft-inlaid yarns one or more reflective members, which is in the form of a strip of retroreflective or light-reserve reflective film, are knitted in between wales contiguous to the marginal portion. The reflective members are sandwiched between the weft-inlaid and tricot-stitch yarns. The tricot-stitch yarns are transparent synthetic fiber yarns in order not to obstruct the reflecting feature of the reflective members.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 1998Date of Patent: January 30, 2001Assignee: YKK CorporationInventors: Sadaji Okeya, Hideyuki Matsushima, Yoshio Matsuda

Patent number: 6148643Abstract: The present invention intends to provide a knitted-in slide fastener having a flexibility and capable of securing a desired coupling strength, in which a trace of the fastener element row is unlikely to be made by ironing. A basic structure of knitting of a fastener element attaching portion formed along a side edge of a fastener tape is formed of chain knitting yarns and weft in-laid yarns. A fastener element row is disposed on an upper face of sinker loops of binding chain knitting yarns, attaching portion foundation chain knitting yarns and the weft in-laid yarns and a leg portion of each element portion is tightened and bound by needle loops of the binding chain knitting yarns from an upper face thereof. The weft in-laid yarns inserted such that they are inverted alternately between two rows of wales disposed in the element attaching portion beside the tape main portion have a size larger than other weft yarns.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 2000Date of Patent: November 21, 2000Inventors: Yoshio Matsuda, Hidenobu Kato, Yoshito Ikeguchi

Patent number: 6134756Abstract: An element row for a slide fastener made by stamping a monofilament made of synthetic resin. Element coupling heads have a shape which enables the elements to be reliably coupled with each other even though the gaps between upper and lower leg portions of the elements are small. Each coupling head has flat sectional portions extending from center portions of one of the ends of the upper and lower leg portions toward each other, and the flat sectional portions have increasing widths. A coupling portion of the element head is sandwiched between both the flat sectional portions, is thinner than the flat sectional portions, and has tip end portions projecting toward opposite sides in the longitudinal direction of the element row. The coupling portion is reliably engaged in a small gap formed between the coupling heads and the upper and lower leg portions of adjacent elements of a mating element row. An apparatus and method for making the element row is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 1999Date of Patent: October 24, 2000Inventor: Yoshio Matsuda
