  • Publication number: 20240113927
Abstract: A transmitting method includes: configuring a frame using a plurality of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, by allocating a plurality of transmission data to a plurality of areas; and transmitting the frame. The plurality of areas are each identified by at least one time resource among resources and at least one frequency resource among frequency resources. The frame includes a first period in which a preamble is transmitted, and a second period in which the plurality of transmission data are transmitted by at least one of time division and frequency division. The second period includes a first area, and the first area includes a data symbol generated from first transmission data, a data symbol generated from second transmission data and subsequent to the data symbol generated from the first transmission data, and a dummy symbol subsequent to the data symbol generated from the second transmission data.

  • Patent number: 5099972
Abstract: Several embodiments of applications for a new and improved one-way clutch. The one-way clutch has a caging member for receiving the rollers of the clutch which is formed from a lightweight material such as sintered metal or plastic. A wedging member is affixed relative to the caging member and has projections that extend into the caging member recesses and against which the rollers react. The wedging member is formed from a higher strength material but is smaller than the caging member so as to reduce the weight of the clutch. In the illustrated embodiments, the one-way clutch is utilized for driving the engine crankshaft from a starter motor.

  • Patent number: 4754859
Abstract: A number of embodiments of one-way clutches and applications therefor. In all embodiments, the one-way clutch is comprised of an outer member that is formed from a first portion that defines caging recesses for receiving the wedging members of the clutch and a second portion that forms the wedging surfaces with which the wedging members cooperate. the first portion is formed from a lighter weight, lower tensile strength material than the second portion so as to reduce the weight of the overall assembly without sacrificing strength. In the various embodiments, the outer member is reinforced by a number of different elements of the associated device such as a gear, pulley, oil filter or generator element. In some embodiments, one or both of the portions of the outer member are formed from a plurality of identically configured pieces so as to facilitate manufacturing. In several embodiiments, the wedging surfaces are formed by a continuous flange of the respective portion so as to provide additional reinforcing.

  • Patent number: 4083053
Abstract: In recording information patterns on the surface of an article conveyed by a conveyer, a distortion of recorded patterns occurs when the speed of the conveyer varies. In the present invention, the speed of the conveyer is detected to control the collection of dot-forming ink droplets thereby preventing the occurrence of the distortion of the recorded patterns.
