Abstract: An automatic release timing control system for use with a press and a cooperating feeder for feeding a web of sheet material wherein a sheet release timing and a sheet grip timing of a release mechanism in the feeder are corrected in response to the varying revolution of the press and the response time of the release mechanism, so that, even when the working speed of the press is high, the sheet releasing operation and the sheet gripping operation of the release mechanism can follow up the working speed of the press.
Abstract: A system for controlling a rotating mechanism of a robot, press or the like wherein malfunction of the robot, press or the like is prevented by a circuit including a rotational angle detector for detecting the rotational angle when the rotating mechanism is rotated and for generating an output signal representative of the detected angle, and a control circuit which generates a drive control signal for controlling the movement of the robot, press or the like.
Abstract: L-Glutamic acid is produced in a high yield by cultivating an L-glutamic acid-producing microorganism which requires oleic acid but does not require biotin for growth in a culture medium containing an oleic acid compound and a biotin compound of no less than 100 .mu.g/liter as biotin, with carbohydrate and acetic acid as carbon sources being maintained in a weight ratio of about 80:20 through about 40:60.
Abstract: A device for inspecting the external appearance of solid medicine having a solid medicine supplying section, a first drum-shaped conveying section for conveying solid medicines supplied by the solid medicine supplying section, at equal intervals so that one surface of each piece of solid medicine is observed. A second drum-shaped conveying section receives the solid medicine from the first drum-shaped conveying section and conveys the solid medicine at equal intervals so that the opposite surface of each solid medicine is observed. First and second observing units are provided adjacent to said first and second drum-shaped conveying sections for observing both surfaces of each piece of solid medicine respectively. A third observing unit is employed for observing the thickness of each piece of solid medicine conveyed by the first and second drum-shaped conveying sections at least before the piece of solid medicine reaches the second observing unit.
