Abstract: The developing device of the present invention includes a developing magnet roller to supply developer to images to be developed, a first conveying auger arranged with a specified gap provided between the developing magnet roller to convey developer while stirring in the first longitudinal direction and supply developer to the developing magnet roller and a second conveying auger provided below the first conveying auger to receive developer conveyed from the first conveying auger and convey this received developer while stirring in the second longitudinal direction that is reverse to the first longitudinal direction and convey developer by circulating between the first conveying auger. This developing device further includes a housing to house the first conveying auger and developer so as to uniformly supply it to the developing magnet roller along the longitudinal direction irrespective of the developer accumulate height along the longitudinal conveying direction by the first conveying auger.
Abstract: A developing apparatus includes a housing having a toner holding space and toner discharging aperature, a developing roller rotated in a predetermined direction in the aperature, a toner leveling member closing a gap between a periphery of the developing roller and an edge of the aperture at which the periphery of the developing roller is moved out from the aperture in its predetermined rotating direction, and slidably pressed against the periphery of the developing roller, a toner supplying roller rotated in the space and pressed against the periphery of the developing roller, and a sliding and closing member closing a gap between the periphery of the supplying roller and a portion of the inner surface of the housing corresponding to a gap between the periphery of the developing roller and an edge of the aperture at which the periphery of the developing roller is moved into the aperature in its predetermined rotating direction, and slidably pressed against the periphery of the supplying roller.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a discharger for discharging a surface of an photoreceptor, a shield case arranged opposite to the photoreceptor and having an opening opposite to the photoreceptor a corona wire electrode arranged in the shield case and connected to a high voltage power source, a charger arranged in the opening of the shield case and having a grid grounded through a constant potential element for charging the photoreceptor surface, and an electrode arranged opposite the photoreceptor between the discharger and the charger and having a sharp edge opposite the photoreceptor. The electrode is grounded through the constant potential element and generates an unbalanced electric field between the electrode and the photoreceptor, thereby discharging charges located on the photoreceptor surface and having a polarity different from that of the electrode.
