  • Patent number: 6647818
Abstract: A gear includes a gear body which includes a rim integral with a plurality of teeth at an outer peripheral surface thereof, and a boss disposed concentrically inside the rim. The gear further includes at least fitting section which is formed from a material having a low hardness and a low flexural strength as compared with a material for forming the gear body, and which is provided between the rim and the boss, so that the gear with a rotational-power transmitting member fitted into the fitting portion is rotated, whereby the rotational power of the gear body is transmitted to the rotational-power transmitting member, while elastically deforming the fitting section to absorb a predetermined amount of a shock produced with the rotation of the gear body. In such gear, the gear body and the fitting section are formed integrally with each other by a two-color molding process.

  • Patent number: 5916489
Abstract: A float of synthetic resin for carburetors includes a base having a mounting portion for mounting the float in a float chamber; two float parts arranged opposite to each other, swinging in accordance with an amount of fuel in the float chamber; and an arm portion connected to the base at one place in its longitudinal direction, connecting the two float parts to its ends. The arm portion is configure so that a sectional area perpendicular to the longitudinal direction is small in a region surrounded by the two float parts and is larger in an opposite region. In this way, the arm portion is not deformed in the region surrounded by the two float parts in the cooling process of molding fabrication, and a float for carburetors of predetermined shape can be manufactured at low cost.

  • Patent number: 5606403
Abstract: A toner supply control system of the electrophotographic apparatus which includes a developing unit 3 for developing with a developer composed of toner and carrier; a toner hopper 4 for storing the toner; a toner empty sensor 7 for detecting the remainder of toner in the toner hopper 4; and a toner supply drive unit 5 for conveying toner from the outside of the apparatus into the toner hopper 4. Toner is conveyed from the outside into the toner hopper 4 by driving the toner supply drive unit 5 over a predetermined period of time without stopping the operation of the electrophotographic apparatus when the toner empty sensor 7 detects over a predetermined period of time that the remainder of toner in the toner hopper 4 is small.

  • Patent number: 5416571
Abstract: In a multi-stage roll magnetic brush type of developing device, at least two opposite direction rotation rolls which rotate in an opposite rotation direction to that of a photosensitive body are arranged adjacently and oppositely to a photosensitive body, and at least one same direction rotation developing roll which rotates in the same rotation direction as that of the photosensitive body is arranged adjacently, oppositely to the photosensitive body and upstream of the opposite direction rotation developing rolls in the rotation direction of the photosensitive body. Thus, the path of carrying the developer by the same direction rotation developing roll and the opposite direction rotation developing rolls can be optimized. In the wide area printing at high speed, an image with stabilized printing quality can be obtained without an increase in the production cost.
