The vacuum cleaner can remove dust from filter regardless whether the dust collecting unit is disposed in or separated from the main body. The vacuum cleaner also can remove dust from the filter while the vacuum cleaner operates.

Thus, the dust discharge cover can be opened from the bottom of the dust-collecting receptacle in an easier manner.
