    Abstract: A retractable tip writing implement according to the present invention includes a tip protecting member removably mounted in an opening formed in the body of the retractable tip writing implement. The tip protecting member serves to prevent drying of ink and to protect the end of the tip and of the writing implement. The tip protecting member may be made of a material with excellent chemical resistance and flexibility and includes a drawing unit for removing the tip protecting member through the opening, without disassembly of the front part of the body of the retractable tip writing implement.
