  • Publication number: 20090295728
Abstract: A signal processing method for an optical trace-detecting module is adapted to perform signal processing between a hardware device having an optical trace-detecting module and a computer device. After a hardware device performs signal connection with a computer device, a fingerprint recognition start-up is implemented by an optical trace-detecting module of the hardware device. Continuous image detection is then performed for displacement control. The presence of the hardware device is confirmed by a start-up procedure of the computer device. A single fingerprint image is picked up by the optical trace-detecting module of the hardware device so as to perform start-up ID recognition. After that, a plurality of frames of object images is continuously picked up by the optical trace-detecting module, and then converted into a displacement signal to be transmitted to the computer device, so as to control a window interface.

  • Patent number: 7106302
Abstract: A wireless pointing device with forced power-off function includes a body and a power supply switch. The body includes a pointing module, a battery, and a wireless transmission module. The wireless transmission module transmits an indication signal providing from the pointing module. The power supply switch is located on an outer surface of the body to control ON and OFF of the power supply circuit of the battery. The power supply switch may be cut off manually, or through charging operation to completely cut off the power of the wireless pointing device to avoid electric power consumption and increase the service life of the battery.

  • Patent number: 7034805
Abstract: An optical trackball is disclosed that is easy to operate without been worried about the contamination on the contacting shifts of encoders inside the trackball. When a distal motion from a user to rotate an operating ball having an uneven surface on the trackball, an image-detecting module will detect the varying of the reflected image from an illuminated portion of the uneven surface, causing the correspondingly moving of the cursor on the computer display.

  • Publication number: 20030227770
Abstract: An illuminating device has a housing, an illuminating element coupled to a first end of the housing, and a base coupled to a second end of the housing, the base having a clipping mechanism for securing the base to an independent element. A cable is also provided for providing power from a computer device to the illuminating element. The illuminating device can also include a power control unit for switching the supply of power between the computer device and a power source that is retained inside the housing.

  • Patent number: 6654001
Abstract: A hand-movement-detecting input device includes a body; and an image-position detecting device located on the body, by which the image-position detecting device detects movement of at least a portion of the user's hand so as to generate a cursor-moving signal or a button-click signal for use by a computer, without the need for physical manipulation of a device such as a mouse or keyboard.
