Abstract: A head drive mechanism is associated with a disk driving device. A disk member is mounted and driven to be rotated on the disk driving device. A support member carries a head member which is capable of recording signals on the disk member, and reproducing the same from the disk member. The support is driven to slide such that the head member is moved in the radial direction of the disk member, and there is provided a pivot member for pivoting one end of the support member in a direction orthogonal to the sliding direction of the support member such that the other end of the support member is swingable. An actuator is provided on the other end of the support member for driving the support member to swing.

Abstract: A head cleaning device for cleaning the read/write head of a disk-type data storage unit such as a floppy disk or diskette drive. The head cleaning device includes a cleaning disk for wiping the read/write head, and a jacket for storing the cleaning disk therein. The jacket has an opening for allowing the cleaning disk to contact the read/write head therethrough. The head cleaning device also has a mechanism for drivingly connecting the spindle of the data storage unit to the cleaning disk. The mechanism comprises a planetary gear mechanism having an eccentric sun gear disposed on a hub rotatably supported in the jacket, a ring gear coupled to the cleaning disk, a plurality of planet gears each meshing with the sun gear and the ring gear, and a member for preventing the planet gears from revolving around the sun gear.

Abstract: A circuit element mounting structure for an electronic still camera having a photographing lens, a recording medium, a magnetic recording unit provided with a magnetic head, a base, an inner housing lid housing the recording medium and which can be moved into and out of contact with the magnetic head on the base, an outer lid located outside of the inner housing lid, and an image pickup element for converting an image made through the photographing lens into an electric signal. The circuit element mounting structure has a circuit base plate, on which is provided at least a circuit for recording an image on the recording medium and a circuit for driving the recording medium and the magnetic head, with the circuit base plate being disposed along a bottom of the base and a top of the inner housing lid.

The magnetic head is secured to a plate spring having at least three support arms located around the magnetic head. The plate spring is supported on a carrier so that the distance between the carrier and each of the three support arms can be adjusted.

Abstract: There is disclosed a specific automatic logic design technique according to which, first, an initial logic circuit, which is automatically synthesized based on a "hardware description language" and using standard logic elements stored in advance as a library, is stored in a data storage unit. The logic circuit is displayed on a display device to permit an operator to assign, by using a block assignment unit, logic elements that must be grouped together as a single circuit block from the logic elements constituting the logic circuit so that the actual design conditions including restrictions for placement and wiring are satisfied. When the logic elements to be grouped together are assigned, they are combined as a circuit block before the logic circuit is subjected to automatic layout optimization processing. The logic circuit is rearranged to include the circuit block as a circuit section having a fixed internal circuit configuration.
