  • Publication number: 20100306615
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a receiving apparatus, including: a decoding section configured to receive and decode an low density parity check code; and a decoding control section configured to control a frequency of the decoding on the basis of conditional information that is an index indicative of a communication condition that influences power consumption in the decoding section.

  • Publication number: 20100306616
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a receiving apparatus, including: a decoding section configured to receive and decode a low density parity check code; and a speed control section configured to control a speed of the decoding on the basis of a reception interval of the low density parity check code.

  • Publication number: 20100135335
Abstract: The present invention relates to a frame synchronizer, frame synchronization method and demodulator which can more positively establish frame synchronization of an input signal which is likely to have a plurality of frame lengths. A differential correlation detector 151 calculates a differential correlation value with no pilot which is associated with the absence of a pilot signal inserted in the input signal and a differential correlation value with a pilot which is associated with the presence of a pilot signal inserted in the input signal. The frame period confirmation counters 152-1 and 152-3 perform, based on the differential correlation values with no pilot, frame synchronization control appropriate to the input signals whose frame lengths are 21690 and 32490 symbols, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20100119014
Abstract: This invention relates to a demodulating apparatus and a demodulating method for demodulating an input signal more quickly than before when the channels of the input signal are inverted. A correlator 152 calculates a correlation value indicative of the correlation between a known delayed detection sequence made of symbols of correct delayed detection values of a known sequence inserted in the input signal and a received delayed detection sequence obtained through delay detection of the input signal. If the imaginary part of the correlation value is less than zero, a channel control section 132 switches the channels of the input signal before feeding the signal to a frame synchronization circuit 122. This invention can be applied illustratively to a satellite broadcast receiving apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20100080138
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a data processing apparatus including: an adjusting section configured to receive a stream including packets and a start flag indicative of the beginning of each of the packets in the stream, adjust a rate of the stream to a certain rate, and output the adjusted stream that is the stream after the rate adjustment and the start flag indicative of the beginning of each of the packets in the adjusted stream; a monitoring section configured to monitor a packet interval that is a start interval between the packets in the adjusted stream on the basis of the start flag; and an output control section configured to execute output control of outputting the packets in the adjusted stream if the packet interval is a normal interval and restricting the outputting of the packets in the adjusted stream if the packet interval is an abnormal interval.
