  • Patent number: 8542601
Abstract: An abnormality locating apparatus locates an abnormal location in a network. An abnormal location judging part judges a normality or abnormality of a link based on a normality or abnormality of an observation flow, by acquiring information of links through which each observation flow passes, from a network route information storage that stores passing route information of observation flows passing through the links. A diagnosis accuracy judging part judges that an accuracy of judging the normality or abnormality of a connecting link connected to a first node deteriorates, by acquiring links connected to each relay node as connecting links from a relay node connecting link information storage that stores connecting link information of each relay node, and judging that a relay node having all connecting links thereof that are abnormal is the first node having all observation flows passing therethrough that are abnormal.

  • Publication number: 20120240225
Abstract: A verification apparatus for verifying a verified apparatus corresponding to a first apparatus included in a plurality of information processing apparatuses includes a storage and a processor. The storage stores captured data acquired by capturing data transmitted and received among the plurality of information processing apparatuses. The processor receives first data transmitted from the verified apparatus. The first data is destined for a second apparatus included in the plurality of information processing apparatuses. The processor extracts, from the storage, second data transmitted from the second apparatus in response to third data transmitted from the first apparatus to the second apparatus. The third data corresponds to the first data. The processor transmits the extracted second data to the verified apparatus.

  • Patent number: 8254388
Abstract: A packet reception portion receives packets of user traffic transferred on the network. The received packets are transferred to an address extraction portion via a distribution portion, and the transmission source address and destination address are extracted. Based on these addresses, a packet generation portion generates probe packets the transfer destination of which is the address destination. A packet transmission portion transmits the probe packets to the network. The transmitted probe packets are received as probe response packets by the packet reception portion. The probe response packets received by the packet reception portion are transferred to a result storage portion via the distribution portion. The result storage portion stores transmission source addresses included in the probe packets in a result storage DB.

  • Patent number: 8243606
Abstract: A device includes a storage unit that stores in a predetermined unit an identifier acquired from a packet transmitted from a transmitting device in association with a source address. The transmitting device receives from each terminal device connected communicatable via a network a packet including a source address, an identifier generated by adding a numerical value every time a packet is sent by the terminal device, and a session ID, and converts and transmits the source address. The transmitting device and the terminal device are connected to the device via a different network. The device also includes a determining unit that determines whether the identifier stored has monotonically increased; and a detector that detects a source indicated by a certain source address to be the transmitting device, if the determining unit determines that the identifier for the certain source address has not monotonically increased.

  • Patent number: 8243736
Abstract: A next sequence number, which is a sequence number that a next packet should have, is compared with the sequence number of a current packet, an identifier of a previous packet is compared with the identifier of the current packet, and a delay is judged to be a simple delay when the next sequence number matches the sequence number of the current packet and the identifier of the previous packet is followed by the identifier of the current packet. Or the delay is judged to be caused by a retransmission when the identifier of the previous packet is not followed by the identifier of the current packet.

  • Patent number: 8213325
Abstract: A packet analysis apparatus analyzes content of communication obtained as a result of monitoring or capturing a packet passing through a network. The apparatus has a unit of acquiring source or destination address information from a network layer packet header. The apparatus has a unit of acquiring from the network layer packet header an identifier for which a value that increases monotonously with each sending for each source or destination address information is set. The apparatus has a unit of searching and acquiring an identifier corresponding to address information in a current packet from a storage part holding an identifier in a previous packet corresponding to source or destination address information. The apparatus has a unit of comparing the identifier in the previous packet acquired and the identifier in the current packet and determining that reordering occurs when the identifier in the current packet is smaller.

  • Publication number: 20120155496
Abstract: A test information obtaining unit captures an actual transaction from a pre-operation server and stores it in a pre-operation packet storing unit. A time synchronization control section synchronizes the time of a post-operation server with a time of the acquisition times of the captured packets. After performing this time synchronization, a test implementation section performs a test by sequentially transmitting the packets to the post-operation server, thus making responses of the pre-operation server and the post-operation server the same.

  • Patent number: 8184553
Abstract: Packet transmission quality in a communication network is measured by transmitting a measurement packet from a packet transmission node to a packet reception node. The packet transmission node is provided with a transmission counter counting the number of packets transmitted from a packet transmission node to a packet reception node, and a measurement packet counter counting the number of measurement packets transmitted from the packet transmission node to the packet reception mode. The packet reception node is provided with a reception counter counting the number of packets received from the packet transmission node. The packet transmission node transmits a measurement packet including a transmission counter value and a measurement packet counter value, to the packet reception node which calculates the number of lost packets or a loss rate of packets on the basis of the transmission counter value, the measurement packet counter value, and a reception counter value.

  • Patent number: 8150171
Abstract: In a moving picture decoding apparatus, a variable-length decoding circuit decodes motion vectors for each macroblock from a bit stream and stores the motion vectors. An error correction circuit calculates a reference vector for an error macroblock using the motion vectors to generate a corrected picture from a reference picture. An inverse-orthogonal transform circuit stores a difference value between direct-current (DC) components after Inverse Discrete Cosine Transform (IDCT) is performed thereon, in the memory for each macroblock. The error correction circuit further calculates a difference value of the DC component of the error macroblock using the difference values of DC components stored in the memory, to add the difference value calculated to the corrected picture generated from the reference picture.
