    Abstract: In the conventional initial operation and activation processing (pre-processing), a processing time of ten odd hours or more is usually required, and special processing equipment and complex processing steps are needed. An aqueous alcohol solution is prepared, a membrane electrode assembly (10) for a solid polymer-type fuel cell is brought into contact with the aqueous alcohol solution, and the assembly (10) is then washed with water. Then, the membrane electrode assembly (10) is sandwiched between bipolar plates (30, 31) to configure a unit cell. The unit cell is sandwiched between collector plates (50, 51), a plurality of unit cells sandwiched between the collector plates are stacked, and the stack is tightened and held between insulating plates (60, 61) and end plates (70, 71) to produce a solid polymer-type fuel cell.

    Abstract: An antistatic composition containing a heat-resistant resin binder with a softening temperature (Ts) of 160-410° C. and carbon blacks and/or carbon nanofibers added as an antistatic agent to the binder is spread on a base material, such as the holding part of a holder such as tweezers, and is heat-treated at a temperature of 200-450° C., so that a film is formed. This film has a surface resistance value of preferably 103-1010 ?/sq.

    Abstract: A thermoreversible recording material having its transparency changed in accordance with its thermal history, in particular the rate of cooling and the temperature to which it has been heated, comprises a matrix material and an organic compound of low molecular weight, wherein the matrix material comprises polyvinyl acetal, and the organic compound of low molecular weight comprises a saturated carboxylic acid or derivative thereof. The matrix material may further contains a material selected from a group consisting of epoxy resin, phenol resin, epoxy compound, aldehyde compound and isocyanate compound. A thermoreversible recording medium comprising the above thermoreversible recording material may be selectively heated by a thermal head or the like to record visual information. The visual information may be erased by heating the medium and cooling it slowly.
