  • Publication number: 20050163387
Abstract: According to a data compression apparatus for compressing data such as image data, there is determined a difference between adjacent numerical values on the continuity of numerical values constituting data to be compressed. Of the numerical values appearing in the difference data, only the numerical value “YY” is encoded. There is performed such a coding that a continued number Z of the numerical value “YY” is expressed with different bit numbers in accordance with Z<128 or z?128. In the coding, when data to be compressed is concerned with the binary data represented by only two sorts of numerical values, there is created new data to be compressed, which consists of continued numerical values represented by a unit bit number, in such a manner that the two sorts of numerical values are discriminated in one bit and the continuity of the one bit is expressed for unit bit number on a batch basis, and the created new data is transferred to the first data compression section.

  • Publication number: 20030228046
Abstract: A printhead of an ink jet printer includes plural ejection nozzles for ejecting ink. In an ink ejection inspecting method for the printhead, the ejection nozzles are photographed in the printhead, to output image data. The image data is analyzed by the pattern recognition, to output analysis result information. According to this, it is judged whether an ejecting state of the ejection nozzles is acceptable or unacceptable.

  • Patent number: 6538523
Abstract: When a PWM signal is generated by PWM generators which are provided for the number of channels, each PWM generator outputs the PWM start schedule data showing the timing of startup of the PWM signal to the CPU. When the number of PWM signals which start at substantially the same time exceeds a predetermined number on the basis of the PWM start schedule data, the CPU outputs delay setting data with respect to a channel corresponding to a portion exceeding the predetermined number to the PWM generator as the one showing that the generation of the PWM signal is to be delayed. The PWM generator delays the PWM signal, when the delay setting data shows a delay. As a result, a multi-channel pulse width modulation apparatus which can prevent a decrease in the operational reliability due to simultaneous start of the pulse width modulation signals can be provided.

  • Patent number: 6201596
Abstract: A positional error of each of a plurality of LED chips mounted in a light source portion along a predetermined direction is measured in advance and stored in a look-up table. When exposure is effected by the LED chips, in a sample-and-hold circuit formed by an analog switch, a capacitor, and a buffer amplifier, the timing at which the analog switch is switched on is displaced for each of analog switches corresponding to the LED chips in accordance with positional errors of the mounted LED chips so that exposure positions obtained by the LED chips are arranged on the same straight line along the predetermined direction.

  • Patent number: 5585879
Abstract: In a photosensitive material processing apparatus, a photosensitive material taking on the form of a long strip is fed into a conveyance mechanism and conveyed in this form along a predetermined conveyance path. An exposure device, a reservoir section, a development processing section, and a cutter are located in the conveyance path. The exposure device carries out scanning exposing operations on the long strip of the photosensitive material and thereby forms latent images on the long strip of the photosensitive material. In the reservoir section, a looped portion for serving as a buffer for conveyance is formed in the long strip of the photosensitive material, on which the latent images have been formed. In the development processing section, development processing is carried out on the long strip of the photosensitive material, which is fed via the reservoir section.
