Abstract: A data processing method and apparatus for LTE and WLAN aggregation and a communications system. The data processing method includes: receiving, by a WLAN termination in a WLAN link, data transmitted by a PDCP layer in an LTE link, and transmitting the data transmitted by the PDCP layer to an LLC layer in the WLAN link after processing; and feeding back highest successfully delivered PDCP sequence number information and/or unsuccessfully delivered PDCP sequence number information to the PDCP layer in the LTE link. Hence, a problem that an LLC layer is unable to provide transmission status indication necessary to a PDCP layer may be effectively solved.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for paging a UE and a communications system. The method includes: calculating a first-grade paging group index based on an inherent identity of the UE, or based on an inherent identity of the UE and a network configuration parameter; calculating a second-grade paging group index based on a network identity allocated by an MME; receiving indication information for indicating paging group indices transmitted by a base station; determining whether the information contained in the indication information is consistent with the first-grade paging group index and the second-grade paging group index; and decoding a downlink data channel to determine whether the UE is paged when it is consistent. Hence, different paging groups may have identical or approximate numbers of UEs, which may reduce a probability of “false paging” of the overall cell.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) includes: a memory configured to store a plurality of instructions; and a processor coupled to the memory and configured to execute the plurality of instructions to: calculate a first paging group index of the UE by using the following formula: Paging_GroupID=floor(UE_ID/nB); where, Paging_GroupID is the first paging group index, UE_ID based on an identity of the UE, nB is a parameter associate with paging occasions and floor denotes a rounded down operation.

Abstract: A command indication method and apparatus and information interaction method and apparatus. The command indication method includes: transmitting to a user equipment (UE), a command for activating or deactivating duplication transmission by using a bitmap field, to activate or deactivate duplication transmission of one or more packet data convergence protocol entities or radio bearers in the UE. Hence, activation or deactivation may be performed on the duplication transmission mode of one or more PDCP entities in the user equipment.

Abstract: A network message notification apparatus and method and a communication system. The method includes: receiving a network message transmitted by a network device; the network message including indication information indicating a user identity range; parsing the indication information and determining whether a user identity of the UE falls within the user identity range indicated by the indication information; and determining whether the UE is notified by the network message according to a determination result. Hence, a magnitude of a network message in the communication system may be greatly reduced, and more UEs may be notified by using relatively few resources.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for recovering network connection and a communication system. In a case where radio link failure occurs in a master base station and a signaling radio bearer of a secondary base station is still available, or a physical layer issue or random access issue occurs in a primary cell but a secondary cell is still available, by transmitting the information on the failure of the master base station and/or the primary cell or autonomously recovering the master base station and/or the primary cell by a UE, the cell or base station where the radio link failure occurs may be quickly changed, connection with the network side may be recovered, and data loss may be reduced.

Abstract: A system information indication method and apparatus and a communication system. In the embodiments of this disclosure, by indicating a correspondence between an area related ID or a system information related index and system information, and/or notifying information on a change of the area related ID or system information related index, a case may be avoided where a UE needs still to obtain system information from a network side when system information of a current cell is stored, thereby efficiently lowering power consumption of the UE in acquiring the system information.

Abstract: An access barring method and apparatus and a communication system. The method includes: performing access barring check or access class determination by UE by using parameters defined for a new radio system. The parameters are applicable to all radio resource control (RRC) states. For different public land mobile networks (PLMNs) and/or network slicing, the parameters are identical or different. With the embodiments of this disclosure, selectable parameters are provided for a uniform access control mechanism defined by an NR system, thereby simplifying an access mechanism, and ensuring all-directional compatibility of a terminal state.

The command reception method includes: receiving a command for activating or deactivating duplication transmission transmitted by a network device by using a bitmap field; and activating or deactivating duplication transmission of one or more packet data convergence protocol entities or radio bearers according to the bitmap field. Hence, one or more PDCP entities in the user equipment may be activated or deactivated with respect to duplication transmission modes.

Abstract: A downlink data transmission method and apparatus and a communication system. The method includes: an anchor eNB determines a non-anchor eNB which is required to schedule downlink data of an UE according to a paging area information of the UE when the downlink data of the UE arrives; and the anchor eNB transmits a paging message to the non-anchor eNB, the paging message including a context of the UE and a data packet of the downlink data, so that the non-anchor eNB schedules the downlink data of UE according to the context of the UE. With the embodiments of this disclosure, a time for state transition from an idle state to a connected state for the UE is shortened, and control plane delay is reduced.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a transmission status reporting apparatus and method and communication system. The method includes: obtaining information on transmission rate difference and/or information on scheduling latency difference between a plurality of radio links; the information on transmission rate difference is obtained based on information on transmission statuses of radio links successfully transmitting PDCP layer data packets, and the information on scheduling latency difference is obtained based on information on transmission statuses of radio links transmitting RRC layer data packets. Hence, an accurate reference basis may be provided for a transmitting device in determining whether a current network is suitable to performing duplication transmission, gains and losses between wasted radio resources and reduced latency in the multi-connection duplication transmission mode may be better weighted, and a more suitable data transmission mode or flow control mode may be configured.
