  • Publication number: 20190121186
Abstract: The present invention further improves the reliability of a spacer in comparison to conventional ones. A light control film 10 which is obtained by sandwiching a liquid crystal layer 14 between first and second laminates 13, 12 that are provided with at least alignment layers 23A, 23B, and which controls light transmitted therethrough by controlling the alignment of liquid crystal molecules 14A in the liquid crystal layer 14 by driving electrodes 22B, 22A that are provided on the first and second laminates 13, 12. With respect to the first laminate 13, a base 21B that is formed of a transparent film material is provided with a spacer 24 that maintains the thickness of the liquid crystal layer 14. With respect to the first and second laminates 13, 12, the Vickers hardness Xs of the spacer 24 is from 16.9 to 40.2 (inclusive), and the Vickers hardness Xf of a part of the second laminate 12, said part being in contact with the front end of the spacer 24, is from 11.8 to 35.9 (inclusive).

  • Publication number: 20180307077
Abstract: The present invention is to enable avoidance of a reduction in external appearance quality, and stable driving, and prevent diffracted light from being discerned by avoiding a reduction in transmittance and a deterioration in liquid crystal alignment. A light control film is provided with: a first laminate in which an alignment layer is provided; a second laminate in which an alignment layer is provided; a liquid crystal layer which is sandwiched between the first and second laminates and contains liquid crystal molecules; a spacer disposed in the liquid crystal layer to hold the thickness of the liquid crystal layer; and electrodes provided in the first laminate and/or the second laminate, and controls transmitted light by controlling the alignment of the liquid crystal molecules driven by the electrodes. The proportion of an area occupied by the spacer per unit area in a light controllable-region of the liquid crystal layer is 0.1-10%.

  • Patent number: 8975045
Abstract: A method for efficiently producing an L-amino acid utilizing a bacterium belonging to the family Enterobacteriaceae from a fatty acid or an alcohol such as glycerol as a raw material is provided. A bacterium belonging to the family Enterobacteriaceae which is able to produce L-amino acid and harbors an RpsA protein which has a mutation such that the native aspartic acid residue at position 210 is replaced with another amino acid residue is used. This bacterium is cultured in a medium containing a carbon source selected from a fatty acid and an alcohol, and the produced L-amino acid is collected from the medium.

  • Publication number: 20120295314
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of producing 2R,4R-Monatin with a good yield using inexpensive L-Trp rather than expensive D-Trp as a stating material. Specifically, the present invention provides a method for producing 2R,4R-Monatin or a salt thereof, comprising: (1) contacting L-tryptophan with a deamination enzyme to form indole-3-pyruvate; (2) contacting the indole-3-pyruvate and pyruvate with an aldolase to form 4R-IHOG; and (3) contacting the 4R-IHOG with a D-aminotransferase in the presence of a D-amino acid to form the 2R,4R-Monatin; and the like. In (3), it is preferable to use a D-aminotransferase having no or low ability to form D-tryptophan from indole-3-pyruvate.

  • Patent number: 8157395
Abstract: The object of this invention is to provide a folding outer mirror, in which the cost reduction, the prevention of large sizes and heavy weights, and higher stiffness of the stopper mechanism can be obtained. The folding outer mirror includes a mirror base extending outside from a side surface of vehicle body, a mirror assembly attached rotatably to the mirror base, and a stopper mechanism for stopping the mirror assembly at a predetermined position. The stopper mechanism is provided with a base-side engaging surface formed in the mirror base, and a body-side engaging surface formed in the mirror assembly and being in plane contact with the base-side engaging surface at a predetermined position. The base-side engaging surface and the body-side engaging surface are formed such that a raising angle relative to a rotating direction of the mirror assembly becomes a sharp angle.
