Publication number: 20030107444Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage controlled oscillator providing a strip line resonator in the inside layer of a multilayer substrate and less in the dispersion of oscillation frequency by humidity. SOLUTION: Polytetrafluoroethylene is used as the core material of the multilayer substrate. Since the polytetrafluoroethylene has smaller water absorptivity than glass epoxy, the change of dielectricity to the change of humidity. As a result, also the change of the resonant frequency of the strip line resonator formed in the inside layer of the multilayer substrate is small, as a result, also the change of oscillation frequency becomes small. Then, since the change of the oscillation frequency is small, control voltage sensitivity can be reduced, and thus, C/N characteristics is improved.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 5, 2001Publication date: June 12, 2003Applicant: Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Tsutomu Ieki, Yutaka Ida

Patent number: 6445263Abstract: The invention provides. a dielectric resonator for example in the TE010 mode characterized in that electrodes are formed on both principal surfaces of a dielectric plate in such a manner that influence of spurious waves propagating in a space between the electrodes and a conductive plate is prevented thus preventing the reduction in Qo and degradation in the attenuation characteristic in the frequency ranges outside the passband. The inner diameter of the cavity is selected such that when the cavity is regarded as a waveguide the cutoff frequency of the waveguide becomes higher than the resonant frequency of a resonance region and such that the inner diameter of the cavity is greater than a non-electrode part.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 2000Date of Patent: September 3, 2002Assignee: Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Tomiya Sonoda, Toshiro Hiratsuka, Yutaka Ida, Shigeyuki Mikami, Kiyoshi Kanagawa

Dielectric resonator device, dielectric filter, oscillator, sharing device, and electronic apparatus
Patent number: 6232854Abstract: In a dielectric resonator device, electrodes having electrode non-formation sections opposite to each other and having substantially the same shape and size are formed on the opposite main faces of a dielectric plate. The portion of the dielectric plate sandwiched between the electrode non-formation sections opposite to each other is used as a dielectric resonator section. Further, the characteristics of the dielectric resonator device are adjusted by attaching dielectric chips inside of the dielectric resonator section or between adjacent dielectric resonator sections.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 1999Date of Patent: May 15, 2001Assignee: Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Shigeyuki Mikami, Toshiro Hiratsuka, Tomiya Sonoda, Yutaka Ida, Kiyoshi Kanagawa -
Patent number: 6184758Abstract: Proposed are a resonator which can easily establish coupling with input/output means, an external circuit, etc., and a filter, duplexer and communication apparatus each having a wide-band frequency characteristic. Electrodes having polygonal openings defined therein are formed in both principal planes of a dielectric substrate such that the openings are positioned to face each other. The dielectric substrate is arranged with the aid of spacers between a metal-made upper conductor case and a lower conductor case having a shield conductor formed therein, the upper and lower conductor cases being positioned to face each other with gaps left relative to the dielectric substrate. Portions of the dielectric substrate between pairs of the openings facing to each other serve as resonance areas and are coupled respectively with input/output electrodes.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 1998Date of Patent: February 6, 2001Assignee: Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yohei Ishikawa, Toshiro Hiratsuka, Tomiya Sonoda, Shigeyuki Mikami, Yutaka Ida, Kiyoshi Kanagawa

Patent number: 6057745Abstract: In a dielectric filter in which electrodes are formed on both principal planes of a dielectric plate while pairs of electrode non-formed portions having substantially the same shape are defined in the electrodes in opposing relation, areas positioned between the pairs of opposing electrode non-formed portions serve as resonance areas, coupling members are provided to be coupled with the resonance areas, and a cavity is provided to define a space surrounding the resonance areas and the coupling members, a signal is prevented from propagating in the parallel plate mode through a waveguide path formed between electrodes formed on both principal planes of the base plate serving as part of a cavity. Electrodes are formed on both principal planes of a dielectric plate (3) with pairs of electrode non-formed portions (4a, 4b, 4c, etc.) defined in the electrodes in opposing relation so that areas positioned between the electrode non-formed portions serve as resonance areas.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 1998Date of Patent: May 2, 2000Assignee: Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Tomiya Sonoda, Toshiro Hiratsuka, Yutaka Ida, Shigeyuki Mikami, Kiyoshi Kanagawa

Patent number: 5789572Abstract: Proposed is a novel synthetic route for the preparation of 1,4-anhydro-2-deoxy-D-erythropentitol, which is a useful material in the synthesis of antibiotics, starting from 2-deoxy-D-ribose via 2-deoxy-D-erythropentitol as an intermediate. 2-Deoxy-D-erythropentitol can be prepared by the hydrogenation of 2-deoxy-D-ribose with Raney nickel as the hydrogenating catalyst in a high efficiency and at low costs as compared with the prior art methods using, for example, sodium borohydride as the hydrogenating agent. 2-Deoxy-D-erythropentitol is subjected to a dehydration cyclization reaction to be converted into 1,4-anhydro-2-deoxy-D-erythropenti-tol under a substantially anhydrous condition which is accomplished by heating a reaction mixture containing 2-deoxy-D-erythropentitol suspended in an organic solvent capable of forming an azeotropic mixture with water such as toluene under reflux so as to azeotropically remove the water condensate.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 1997Date of Patent: August 4, 1998Assignee: Nikko Rica Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yutaka Ida, Satoshi Kikuchi, Shinobu Iriuchijima
