    Abstract: A correction apparatus is provided with terminals which are connected in one-to-one correspondence with each of lens apparatuses and which transmit control signals to the lens apparatuses which are connected. A common control signal is transmitted from all of the terminals to the lens apparatuses which are connected with the terminals. Individual control signals are transmitted to the lens apparatuses, which are connected with the terminals, from all of the terminals or from the other terminals than any one terminal. The group of terminals are communicably connected with each other and mutually hold the common control signal and the individual control signals.

A reference signal is output from a photo interrupter 40 at an intermediate position of a movable range of the zoom ring. The present position of the zoom ring is calculated from the pulses of the encoder that are generated after the rising or falling of the reference signal. Time, which is required until the position of the zoom ring is detected, is made uniform.

During an external force applying period in which a return oil pressure exceeds a discharge pressure from a hydraulic pump, the controller specifies a regenerating flow rate capable of being conducted to a regeneration oil passage and a surplus flow rate other than the regenerating flow rate on the basis of power required of the hydraulic pump out of return oil other than return oil which is conduced to a tank through a control valve, then conducts the return oil of the regenerating flow rate to the regeneration oil passage and controls an MO valve and a regulator so that the return oil of the surplus flow rate is conducted to an outlet oil passage.

The focusing-target registration unit registers, as information for specifying subjects to be set to a focusing target, character information and image information of the subjects. The focusing-target specification unit specifies a subject, which is a focusing target during taking, from among the registered subjects to be set to the focusing target. The authentication unit determines as to whether or not the subject being taken matches with the specified subject, which is the focusing target. If the authentication unit determines that the subject being taken matches with the specified subject, which is the focusing target, the autofocus unit performs the focus adjustment for the subject being taken.

    Abstract: An autofocus unit, a face authentication information acquiring unit and a face authentication unit are provided. The autofocus unit performs focus adjustment so that a subject within a certain AF area is in focus in an image taken. The face authentication information acquiring unit acquires information required to face-authenticate the subject, from an external memory being separate from the autofocus system and storing information required to face-authenticate plural subjects which are targets to be focused on during taking. The face authentication unit face-authenticates the subject in the taken image to determine as to whether the subject in the taken image is the same person as any of the subjects being targets to be focused on during the taking. If the face authentication unit determines that the subject in the taken image is the same person, the autofocus unit performs the focus adjustment for the subject in the taken image.
