  • Publication number: 20240080153
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Embodiments of the present application provide a method performed by a network controlled repeater (NCR) in a wireless communication system. The method includes receiving, by an NCR mobile terminal (NCR-MT) from a base station, control information; identifying a forwarding state of an NCR-amplifier and a resource corresponding to the forwarding state based on the control information: receiving, by the NCR-MT from the base station, a downlink signal; and forwarding, by the NCR-amplifier to a user equipment (UE), the downlink signal on the identified resource, in case that the forwarding state is a forwarding-on state.

  • Patent number: 11856030
Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for implementing workflows across multiple differing systems and devices is provided herein. During operation, a graphical-user interface provides a user with a list of triggers and a list of actions. A user creates a workflow by dragging a trigger and at least one action to an area of a screen (workspace) and then connecting them with a line or arc. If a security ecosystem is unable to execute the created workflow, the necessary components needed to execute the workflow will be provided in a small area on the screen (workspace).

  • Patent number: 11495025
Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for implementing workflows across multiple differing systems and devices is provided herein. During operation, a security level at an entry point will be increased temporarily when a camera moves its field of view away from the entry point. The security level will return to its original state when the camera moves its field of view back to the entry point.

  • Patent number: 11495119
Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for implementing workflows across multiple differing systems and devices are provided herein. During operation a workflow is automatically generated upon the detection of new device capabilities. In particular, a workflow server will detect the presence of new device capabilities in a particular area. The new device capabilities will be analyzed, and an appropriate trigger and action will be determined based on the new device capabilities. The appropriate trigger and action will then be implemented as a newly-created workflow.

  • Patent number: 11341701
Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating a composite image of a person is provided herein. During operation, a witness is presented with a plurality of attributes of an individual. A witness selection of an attribute is received from the presented attributes. Images of individuals who were at an incident scene at a time of the incident are received and analyzed to determine images of those individuals with attributes similar to the attribute selected by the witness. The images of those individuals with the attributes similar to the attribute selected by the witness are processed by redacting information from the images to produce a plurality of processed images. The witness is then presented with the plurality of processed images.

  • Patent number: 11259166
Abstract: A method and apparatus for recommending that a user dial an emergency number to report an incident is provided herein. During operation, a user submits anonymous information about an incident to a tipping server. The tipping server determines if the incident that the user is reporting is unreported to an emergency number. If the incident remains unreported to an emergency number, the user is provided a suggestion to call an emergency number to report the incident.

  • Patent number: 10309807
Abstract: The present invention relates to resolver calibration for permanent magnet synchronous motor. According to embodiments of the present invention, the high frequency rotating voltage vector is generated and injected into a resolver associated with a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). Due to the saliency effect, when a reference point is detected in a phase current, the rotor position of the PMSM is known. At this point, by acquiring the resolver position, the resolver offset may be accurately determined for calibration. According to embodiments of the present invention, the resolver offset may be accurately determined and calibrated without increasing device dimension and cost. Respective methods, apparatuses, systems, and computer products are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9501784
Abstract: The usefulness, and consequently the performance, of advertisements are improved by allowing businesses to better target their ads to a responsive audience. Location information is determined (or simply accepted) and used. For example, location information may be used in a relevancy determination of an ad. As another example, location information may be used in an attribute (e.g., position) arbitration. Such location information may be associated with price information, such as a maximum price bid. Such location information may be associated with ad performance information. Ad performance information may be tracked on the basis of location information. The content of an ad creative, and/or of a landing page may be selected and/or modified using location information. Tools, such as user interfaces, may be provided to allow a business to enter and/or modify location information. The location information used to target and/or score ads may be, include, or define an area.

  • Patent number: 9411906
Abstract: Systems and methods to generate modified/refined user inputs based on the original user input, such as a search query, are disclosed. The method may be implemented for Roman-based and/or non-Roman based language such as Chinese. The method may generally include receiving an original user input and identifying core terms therein, determining potential alternative inputs by replacing core term(s) in the original input with another term according to a similarity matrix and/or substituting a word sequence in the original input with another word sequence according to an expansion/contraction table where one word sequence is a substring of the other, computing likelihood of each potential alternative input, and selecting most likely alternative inputs according to a predetermined criteria, e.g., likelihood of the alternative input being at least that of the original input. A cache containing pre-computed original user inputs and corresponding alternative inputs may be provided.

  • Patent number: 8788336
Abstract: An advertiser may be provided with fast and accurate estimates of the future cost and/or performance information for one or more actual or hypothetical ads (generally referred to as “proto-ads”). Past auction information may be used to simulate auctions that the proto-ad would have competed in. The proto-ad may then participate in a “replay” of such past auctions.

  • Patent number: 8645192
Abstract: An advertiser may be provided with fast and accurate estimates of the future performance of at least one of their advertisements. These estimates may be broken down by keyword, thereby providing, up-front, useful information to the advertiser about how different keywords will affect the performance and cost of their ad campaign. Estimates and/or suggestions for a set of keywords, given additional campaign parameters, may be generated by using historical search traffic (or some other ad serving trigger) data to predict future inventory and to find useful keyword (or some other serving constraint) variations. Current data on competing ads may be used to simulate the competitions (e.g., real-time auctions) that the given ads will participate in.
