    Abstract: Example data query methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable medium are provided. After receiving a data query request, a data processing system queries target data required by a user from second files with a smaller data amount instead of a first file with a larger data amount. The second files are specifically generated based on the first file. Both the first file and the second file may be files formed by aggregated data or files formed by original data that is not aggregated. Alternatively, the first file is a file formed by original data, and the second file is a file formed by aggregated data. When data is queried, the second file with the smaller data amount is traversed.

The method includes determining, in response to an access to the storage device via a first path being determined as timeout, whether an error on the first path is of a first error type. The method further includes causing the access to be suspended for at least a scheduled time period if the error on the first path is of the first error type. The method further includes resuming the access via a second path after the scheduled time period expires. With embodiments of the present disclosure, the capability of processing the problem of failure in accessing a storage device and the stability in accessing a storage device can be improved.

    Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system for streamlining machine learning. During operation, the system determines a resource overhead for a baseline version of a machine learning model that uses a set of features to produce entity rankings and a number of features to be removed to lower the resource overhead to a target resource overhead. Next, the system calculates importance scores for the features, wherein each importance score represents an impact of a corresponding feature on the entity rankings. The system then identifies a first subset of the features to be removed as the number of features with lowest importance scores and trains a simplified version of the machine learning model using a second subset of the features that excludes the first subset of the features. Finally, the system executes the simplified version to produce new entity rankings.
