    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an IP address allocation system and method, which implement, if a control plane is separated from a forwarding plane, a function that enables user equipment to acquire an internet protocol (IP) address in a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) manner. The method includes: receiving, by a forwarder, an address request sent by an external network element, where the address request includes a DHCP request of user equipment UE and user characteristic information of the UE; acquiring, from a DHCP service network element according to the DHCP request, an IP address allocated to the UE; and acquiring first instruction information that is delivered by a control device according to the user characteristic information of the UE and the IP address allocated to the UE, and sending the IP address to the UE according to the user characteristic information.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of mobile communications technologies, and in particular, to a gateway system, so as resolve a technical problem of a complex network structure caused due to that different network architectures need different gateways. The gateway system provided in the present invention separates a control plane from a forwarding plane. A gateway controller is configured to complete a control function, and may control respective generation of control information for data packets of multiple different protocol types. A gateway forwarding device is responsible for forwarding, and may be controlled by the gateway controller to receive and send data packets of various protocol types. In a multi-standard access architecture, only one or few such gateway systems may need to be accessed instead of accessing multiple different gateways, thereby simplifying a network topology structure, and facilitating network maintenance.

    Abstract: The present invention describes a scheme of reconfiguring an ordinary OCT system to a PS-OCT variant. In this scheme, a polarization mode-dependent optical delay (PMOD) unit is inserted at the sample arm of the OCT interferometer. As a consequence of its large retardation, the resulted OCT image contains a plurality of image replicas separated by the group delay difference of the polarization modes. The polarization-sensitive interference can be analyzed by the amplitude ratios between the replicated images. Because of the simplicity of this method, an ordinary OCT system can be easily and cost-effectively reconfigured to add a useful PS-OCT imaging function. This method can be applied to any low coherence interferometric technique such as spectral-domain OCT, time-domain OCT, and spectral-encoded microscopy.

    Abstract: Ciliary motion in the upper airway is the primary mechanism by which the body transports foreign particulate out of the respiratory system. The ciliary beating frequency (CBF) is often disrupted with the onset of disease. Current imaging of ciliary motion relies on microscopy and high speed cameras, which cannot be easily adapted to in-vivo imaging. M-mode optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging is capable of visualization of ciliary activity, but the field of view is limited. The present invention features the development of a spectrally encoded interferometric microscopy (SEIM) system using a phase-resolved Doppler (PRD) algorithm to measure and map the ciliary beating frequency within an on face region. This novel high speed, high resolution system allows for visualization of both temporal and spatial ciliary motion patterns.
