DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0021] Referring to FIGS. from 1 through 4, a footwear in accordance with the present invention is shown comprised of a sole 10, a breathable body 20, an upper 30, and an ornamental member 40.

[0022] The sole 10 is made of a rubber, plastic, or leather material having an appropriate pliability and cut into shape fitting the sole of the foot.

[0023] The breathable body 20 is formed of elastic filaments 22 of polyvinyl chloride and provided in the upper surface of the sole 10. The filaments 22 are intertwined to form an intricate network body of an appropriate thickness and having a number of gaps 24. The breathable body 20 has a compacted sealing portion 25 formed in a particular area by means of high frequency heat sealing.

[0024] The upper 30 can be of any of a variety of shapes fixedly fastened to the sole 10 for securing a foot. The upper 30 is disposed above the sole 10, defining with the sole 10 a space for receiving a foot.

[0025] The ornamental member 40 is a thermoplastic member made subject to a particular design, for example, the design of a flower, having an embossed body 41, a first sealing portion 43 formed around the border of the embossed body 41, and a second sealing portion 44 in the center area of the embossed body 41. The first sealing portion 43 and the second sealing portion 44 are adapted for fastening to the elastic filaments 22 of the breathable body 20 by a sealing apparatus, for example, a high-frequency heat sealing apparatus.

[0026] The breathable body 20 is sealed to the upper surface of the sole 10. The gaps 24 serve as a ventilation system for driving out the foul air as well as the foot perspiration, providing a wearing comfort, a massaging effect of the foot sole, and a friction between the foot sole and the breathable body.

[0027] The formation of the footwear is outlined hereinafter.

[0028] At first, the desired breathable body 20 is prepared, and then the ornamental member 40 is placed on the breathable body 20 at the desired location, and then a heat sealing apparatus is operated to compress the sealing portions 43;44 of the ornamental member 40 downwardly against the elastic filaments 22 of the breathable body 20, causing the desired compacted sealing portion 25 to be formed in the breathable body 20 and sealed to the sealing portions 43;44 of the ornamental member 40. Because the embossed body 41 of the ornamental member 40 is supported on the elastic filaments 22 of the breathable body 20, the ornamental member 40 show a embossed pattern.

[0029] FIGS. 6 and 7 show a footwear constructed according to the second embodiment of the present invention. According to this embodiment, the ornamental member 40A is an annular member having a sealing portion 43A directly compressed and heat-sealed to the breathable body by a heat-sealing apparatus. This embodiment eliminates the aforesaid embossed body.

[0030] Further, the ornamental member can be made having the design of a company's logo or the like.

[0031] FIGS. 8˜10 show the third embodiment of the present invention. According to this embodiment, the breathable body 20B has an opening 27B through the top and bottom sides thereof (see FIG. 8); the ornamental member 40B is a planar member (see FIG. 9) directly placed on the elastic filaments 22 of the breathable body 20B over the opening 27B, and then compressed downwards with a part of the elastic filaments 22 of the breathable body 20B around the opening 27B and then heat-sealed to the compacted elastic filaments 22 (see FIG. 10).

[0032] A protocol of footwear has been constructed with the features of FIGS. 1˜10. The footwear functions smoothly to provide all of the features discussed earlier.

[0033] Although particular embodiments of the invention have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.

[0034] As indicated above, the footwear of the present invention has the following advantages:

[0035] 1. The footwear of the present invention, wherein the filaments of the breathable body providing the sealing of the ornamental member quickly, and the ornamental member can be any shape and put on anywhere, then providing variety of the footwear.

[0036] 2. The footwear of the present invention, wherein after the ornamental member sealed on the breathable body, the filaments of the breathable body under the ornamental member can support the embossed body of the ornamental member, then forming a embossed portion.
