BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The field of invention pertains to the medical/hospital/health domain where repeated, frequent/rapid disposable gown dressing-undressing is needed to enter infected areas. No rapid gowning system is available.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present method of disposable isolation gowning consists of a time consuming and very cumbersome unfolding, dressing and tying with a belt. This regularly leads to healthcare workers in hospitals/clinics to enter infected areas without protective disposable gowns. In this way, germs attached to regular clothes are carried and transmitted to other patients, doctors or nurses.

The isolation gowning system eliminates this major barrier by automating the process of gowning, without any need for separate unfolding, dressing and tying, through one simple process. By increasing acceptability and compliance with this infection isolation step, advantages will ensue in controlling infections as well as financially in shortening the time spent for gowning.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The “Stat Gowning System” consists of a rigid vertical adjustable rod of approx. 5.5 ft. height, attached at the lower end to a heavy base on wheels, for easy mobility. The upper end connects to two forward angled “hooks” of approx. 30″ length. These hooks serve as anchors to a pack of tightly pressed gowns, that have two approx. 1″ holes through the upper part of the entire pack.

The pack of gowns will be attached with the holes onto the above angled hooks, so that the convex part of the pack faces the user. The outer and upper part of the gown pack consists of the gowns' sleeves, at the end of which there are medical rubber gloves. Within the pack the gowns stick to each other with a loose adhesive.

For a person to rapidly and easily put on a gown, one inserts both hands simultaneously in the gown sleeves, then stretch both arms laterally, slightly stepping back. The gowning system is now ready for the next user, (approx 0.50 to 100). A new pack of gowns will then be hung when all the previous pack is exhausted.

Claims
