BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

While playing golf, certain areas of the green have restricted access and golfers are unable to carry bags or take golf buggies onto that area. This means that golfers have to carry the clubs onto the green that they think may be needed for the shot. This can sometimes mean carrying two or three clubs onto the green. Consequently there is nowhere or no means of storing the spare clubs, so they must be placed on the ground. This causes the grip to become wet and slippery and in many cases the golfer will walk off the green after taking the shot and forget to pick up the club on the ground and consequently leave their golf club. Lost golf clubs are very expensive for golfers to replace.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The K-Peg is a small, compact, hand held tool which is a golf accessory. The K-Peg has been designed to peg a golf dub in the ground supporting it in an upright position, protecting the grip of the club, stopping it from becoming wet and makes the club highly visible to ensure the golfers does not walk off the green and forget to retrieve their club.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING

FIG. 1 shows the K-Peg according to the invention.

FIG. 2 shows the K-Peg in use, how it supports the club head and pegs it into the ground.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The K-Peg has been designed to overcome the problem as highlighted in the background information section. The invention, the K-Peg is a small, compact, hand held tool which is a golf accessory. The K-Peg hooks onto the shaft of the golf club and pegs the club head to the ground, holding the golf club in an upright position, protecting the grip of the club and making the club highly visible.

The K-Peg is universal, it has been designed to be used with a wide range of clubs in terms of their type, make and size. The design of the K-Peg is such that it can be used on a range of surfaces and can be used as a tool to repair any marks left on the green after its use.

The K-peg will be manufactured in Zinc, through a process of precision die-casting.

The advantages of the K-Peg are as follows:

    • The K-Peg will support the golf club, holding it in an upright position, thus protecting the grip and stopping it from becoming wet and slippery.
    • It will also make the club that is not being used, highly visible, reducing the probability of golfers walking away without the club after they have played the shot.
    • The design makes the K-Peg a universal tool that can be used with all standard golf clubs.
    • Preferably the K-Peg will be manufactured in Zinc, allowing the product to be strong yet lightweight.
    • Preferably, the manufacture in aluminium will allow the K-peg to have several different finishes, such as anodising and plastic coating.
    • The design of the K-Peg ensures that it will be suitable for use on different surfaces and in various weather conditions.
    • The compact size and lightweight nature of the K-Peg will allow it to be stored easily within a golf bag or upon the golfer for instant use.
    • The K-Peg can be used as a tool to repair any marks left on the green after its use.
      Instruction For Use:

Please refer to FIG. 2 of the drawings when reading this description. The U-shaped head of the K-Peg [2] is slotted onto the shaft of the golf club [6]. The K-Peg is then lowered down the shaft of the golf club [6] to engage the club head [4].

The teeth [1] hold the dub head [4] securely in place while the dual forks [3] are inserted into the ground/playing surface [5] —staking the club. The club is then supported in an upright position as shown in FIG. 2, making it highly visible and ensuring that the grip of the dub is kept dean and dry.

After use the K-Peg can be removed by either pulling the whole unit from the ground or by lifting the dub, which will also release the dub and K-Peg from the ground.

The K-Peg can also be used to repair any marks left on the ground/playing surface after its use. The dual forks [3] of the K-Peg are inserted into the ground at a diagonal angle and used to lever the ground up, leaving the playing surface flat and undamaged.

The U-Shaped head [2] of the K-Peg has been designed to be universal and will therefore fit and be compatible with the whole compliment of golf clubs available on the market.
