DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The following description is of the best-contemplated mode of carrying out the invention. This description is made for the purpose of illustrating the general principles of the invention and should not be taken in a limiting sense. The scope of the invention is best determined by reference to the appended claims.

First embodiment

Referring to FIG. 1A, a first embodiment of a paper box 1 comprises two first sidewalls 2a, two second sidewalls 2b, an attachable part 2c, four first strips 31a, four second strips 31b, two first bottom boards 32a, two second bottom boards 32b, four top boards 4, and an outer cover 5. First strip 31a is disposed on the first sidewall 2a the same as the second strip 32b is disposed on the second sidewall 2b. Thus, only one first sidewall 2a and second sidewall 2b are discussed here.

Referring again to FIG. 1A, the first sidewall 2a comprises a first side E1 and a second side E2. The second side E2 is adjacent to first side E1. The second sidewall 2b is connected with the second side E2, and comprises a third side E3. The third side E3 and the first side E1 are disposed in a straight line. The first bottom board 32a is connected with a first side E1 and the second bottom board 32b is connected with a third side E3. Furthermore, the first strip 31a is connected with the first side E1. The second strip 31b is connected with the third side E3 and is adjacent to the first strip 31a and the second bottom board 32b.

Substantially, each first strip 31a and each second strip 31b are rectangular, cut from each side of the first bottom board 32a and the second bottom board 32b. The first strips 31a and the second strips 31b are bent toward interior of the first sidewalls 2a and the second sidewalls 2b and are attached tightly to area A of the first sidewalls 2a and area B of the second sidewalls 2b (the area surrounded by the dotted line, as shown in FIG. 1A), to enhance strength of the corner structure of the paper box. Furthermore, the top boards 4 are respectively connected with the opposite side of the first side E1 and the opposite side of the third side E3.

When the paper box 1 is assembled, the attachable part 2c at the left side of FIG. 1A is attached to the first sidewall 2a at the right side of FIG. 1A. Then, the first strips 31a and the second strips 31b are respectively attached to the first sidewalls 2a and the second sidewalls 2b. Moreover, each first bottom board 32a and each second bottom board 32b are bent 90° toward interior of the paper box and combined, as shown in FIG. 1B (FIG. 1B only depicts two first bottom boards 32a for brevity). Finally, four top boards 4 are combined and paper box 1 is assembled, as shown in FIG. 1C. However, due to the first strips 31a and the second strips 31b, assembled paper box has an opening O. Thus, the paper box 1 further comprises an outer cover 5, abutting the first bottom boards 32a and the second bottom boards 32b to fully cover the opening O.

In the embodiment, the first strips 31a and the second strips 31b are bent and attached to the first sidewalls 2a and the second sidewalls 2b, to enhance strength of the corner structure of the paper box 1. Thus, even if the pressure pressed on the corner of the paper box 1 is increased, corrugated boards can be prevented from deforming during packaging.

For clarification, the positions of first sidewalls 2a and second sidewalls 2b are reversed in FIG. 1B and FIG. 1C.

Note that the area of first sidewalls 2a and the second sidewalls 2b is not limited to those shown in FIG. 1A and FIG. 1B, and can be the same. The length and the width of the top boards 4, the first bottom boards 32a and the second bottom boards 32b depend on the area first sidewalls 2a and the second sidewalls 2b.

Note that the first strips 31a and the second strips 31b arm not limited to disposition as shown in FIG. 1A and FIG. 1C, and can be integrally connected.

Second Embodiment

Referring to FIG. 2A, a second embodiment of a paper box 1′ differs from the previous embodiment only in first strips 31′, the first bottom boards 32a and the second bottom boards 32b. Other like elements are labeled as the same and not discussed here, for brevity.

The paper box 1′ comprises four first strips 31′, two first bottom boards 32a and two second bottom boards 32b. Each first strip 31′ is substantially L-shaped. The first strip comprises a rectangular connecting part 31a and a rectangular extending part 31b. Each rectangular connecting part 31a is connected with the first side E1 of the first sidewall 2a. The second bottom board 32b comprises a fourth side E4 and a fifth side E5. The fourth side E4 is connected with the third side E3 and is substantially perpendicular to the third side E3. The fourth side E4 is longer than the width W of the rectangular extending part 31b. The fifth side E5 is connected with the fourth side E4 and is substantially perpendicular to the fourth side E4. The fifth side E5 is shorter than the width Wb of the second bottom board 32b.

When the paper box 1′ is assembled, the first sidewall 2a at the right side of FIG. 2A is combined with the second sidewalls at the left side of FIG. 2A by the attachable part 2c. The rectangular connecting part 31a and the rectangular extending part 31b of each first strip 31′ are bent and attached to the first sidewalls 2a and the second sidewalls 2b. Furthermore, each first bottom board 32a and each second bottom board 32b are bent 90° toward interior of the paper box 1′ and are combined, as shown in FIG. 2B, and then the paper box 1′ is assembled.

Note that the fourth side E4 is longer than the width of the rectangular connecting part 31b, and the fifth side E5 is shorter than the width of the second bottom board 32b, so that the bottom of the paper box 1′ does not have an opening.

Note that the rectangular extending part 31b is not limited to being adjacent to the second bottom board 32b, but can be adjacent to the first bottom board 32a.

Substantially, the rectangular connecting part 31a and the rectangular extending part 31b of the first strip 31′ are bent and attached to the first sidewall 2a and the second sidewall 2b, to enhance strength of the corner structure of the paper box 1′. Thus, even if the pressure on the corner of the paper box 1 is increased, packaging material is protected from deformation during packaging. Furthermore, the opening is avoided because of the limitation first strip 31′ and the second bottom board 32b. Thus, additional outer covering is not required.

While the invention has been described by way of example and in terms of preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited thereto. To the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements (as would be apparent to those skilled in the art). Therefore, the scope of the appended claims should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements.
