FIG. 6 is a left side view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new funnel device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the urination funnel assembly 10 generally comprises a panel 12 that is positionable on a bowl 14 of a commode 16. The panel 12 has an ovoid shape thereby facilitating the panel 12 to conform to the shape of an opening in the bowl 14 of the commode 16. The commode 16 may be a residential commode 16, a commercial commode 16 or any other toilet that can be used by males for urination. The panel 12 is manufactured to have dimensions that correspond to the make and model of the commode 16 on which the panel 12 will be placed.

The panel 12 has a top surface 18, a bottom surface 20 and a perimeter edge 22 extending therebetween. The perimeter edge 22 is continuously arcuate about a center point of the panel 12. Moreover, the panel 12 is elongated along a longitudinal axis extending between a forward end 24 and a rearward end 26 of the panel 12 such that the perimeter edge 22 defines the ovoid shape. The bottom surface 20 rests on the bowl 14 of the commode 16. The panel 12 has an opening 28 extending through the top surface 18 and the bottom surface 20. Thus, urine can pass through the opening 28 to enter the bowl 14. The opening 28 is positioned closer to the forward end 24 than the rearward end 26.

A funnel 30 is coupled to the panel 12 and the funnel 30 extends upwardly from the panel 12 when the panel 12 is positioned on the bowl 14 of the commode 16. In this way the funnel 30 can be positioned for receiving urine from a male. The funnel 30 has a widened mouth 32 to inhibit urine from splashing onto the floor or the commode 16 when the male urinates into the funnel 30. In this way the funnel 30 and the panel 12 serve to enhance cleanliness in area surrounding the commode 16.

The funnel 30 has a bottom end 34, a top end 36 and an outer wall 38 extending therebetween. The outer wall 38 tapers inwardly between the top end 36 and the bottom end 34 such that the top end 36 has a larger diameter than the bottom end 34. The top end 36 defines the widened mouth 32 of the funnel 30. The funnel 30 extends through the opening 28 in the panel 12 having the bottom end 34 of the funnel 30 being spaced from the bottom surface 20 of the panel 12.

The top end 36 has a front side 40 and a back side 42, and the top end 36 has a raised portion 44 extending along the front side 40. The outer wall 38 is curved such that the top end 36 is angled toward the forward end 24 of the panel 12. In this way the top end 36 is directed toward the male for enhancing urinating into the funnel 30. The top end 36 may have a diameter of approximately 12.0 inches. Additionally, the funnel 30 may have a height of approximately 15.0 inches with respect to the top surface 18 of the panel 12.

In use, the panel 12 is positioned on the bowl 14 of the commode 16 when a lid on the commode 16 has been opened. In this way the funnel 30 is directed upwardly from the bowl 14. A male approaches the funnel 30 and urinates into the funnel 30. Moreover, the funnel 30 inhibits the urine from splashing onto or around the commode 16. In this way the funnel 30 and the panel 12 enhance the cleanliness of the bathroom in which the commode 16 is placed.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
