FIELD OF THE INVENTIONThe present Invention relates to transporting golf clubs on a golf course using a baby stroller, allowing adults to enjoy the game of golf with young children.
RELATED ART AND BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONPlaying golf is an activity that typically takes two to four hours to play. For players spending many hours at work and then spending those additional hours at a golf course lend to missing out on the few hours available for family time. Until now, there has not been a safe, efficient, and fun way to walk a round of golf with young children.
Children are most comfortable going on walks in their strollers. Strollers have the proper seating and harnesses as well as comfort amenities like shade, cup holders for children as well as adults, and trays for snacks. We have created a tool to bring golf, parents, and young children together conveniently using the stroller your child is comfortable in, while also bringing your golf clubs with in a convenient and efficient way.
With reference to the detailed description of the invention, the following is a brief description of the figures.
The present Invention is an apparatus used to transport golf clubs in an organized, efficient, and safe manner while attached to a stroller, baby buggy, or carriage. The Invention is comprised of two hook and loop straps made of fabric, leather, textile, rubber, or similar material each having a carabiner or equivalent quick release fastener, then attached to a frame which will hold golf clubs.
There are two attachment portions (eyelets, through hole, hook, tab, eyeholes) located on top of the frame. The eyelets are used to connect the frame to the straps. Below the eyelets, the frame has six (6) to fourteen (14) openings that golf clubs are placed through and supported. The frame can be constructed of plastic, rubber, metal, wood, or similar composite preferably rigid. The diameter of the openings can range from .75 inches to 2 inches in diameter. The width of the frame (width as measured by the thickness of the frame as seen in
The Invention is attached to and supported by a stroller’s horizontal handlebar or push bar. The Invention’s two hook and loop straps wrap around the stroller’s horizontal handlebar or push bar with the remainder of the Invention hanging below. A carabiner will be sewn, woven, or wrapped within the hook and loop strap. The carabiner will be used as the connection to the frame below. An alternate method of attaching the hook and loop straps to the frame is having the eyelets attached directly to the straps, bypassing the need of a carabiner, or having the carabiner attach directly to the frame and the stroller handlebar, bypassing the need of hook and loop straps. In the instance of bypassing either the hook and loop strap or the carabiner the eyelets should be rotated 90 degrees. In addition, the eyelets could be located on the sides of the frame.
The frame will hang from the horizontal handlebar or push bar supported by the hook and loop strap. As seen in
The Invention is then used to carry a golfer’s clubs in an organized, efficient, and safe manner.
