Publication number: 20050150780Abstract: The invention relates to a device that is employed to protect, display and use a coin, comprising a base structure 2 consisting of first and second circular parts which are interconnected by a connecting element, by means of which the base structure 2 can be folded so that the first and second parts are facing one another. According to the invention, coin support means, which are adapted to the diameter of said coin, are disposed in the base structure 2 and comprise two stacked identical inner rings 5 which define an opening that is intended to house the coin. The diameter of the opening in the aforementioned inner rings 5 is slightly greater than the internal diameter of the first and second parts of the base structure 2. In this way, each inner ring defines a non-covered inner circular area on one of the first or second parts of the base structure 2, said area forming an outer support lip 7.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 14, 2003Publication date: July 14, 2005Inventor: Ludovic Pleven

Publication number: 20050150816Abstract: An inline bitumen froth steam heater system is comprised of steam injection and static mixing devices. The steam heater system heats and de-aerates an input bitumen froth without creating downstream processing problems with the bitumen froth such as emulsification or live steam entrainment. The inline bitumen froth steam heater is a multistage unit that injects and thoroughly mixes the steam with bitumen resulting in an output bitumen material having a homogenous temperature of about 190° F. The heating system conditions a superheated steam supply to obtain saturated steam at about 300° F. The saturated steam is contacted with a bitumen froth flow and mixed in a static mixer stage. The static mixers provide a surface area and rotating action that allows the injected steam to condense and transfer its heat to the bitumen froth. The mixing action and the increase in temperature of the bitumen froth results in reduction in bitumen viscosity and also allows the release of entrapped air from the bitumen froth.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 16, 2004Publication date: July 14, 2005Inventors: Les Gaston, Donald Madge, William Strand, Ian Noble, William Garner, Mike Lam

Publication number: 20050150820Abstract: This disclosure discusses integrating syngas streams with refinery hydrotreators, synthetic hydrocarbon gas to liquid (GTL) processes, and power generation units (such as combined cycle units) to efficiently use hydrogen contained in the syngas produced from heavy hydrocarbons (pet coke, residues, oil, etc.). Membrane separation and pressure swing adsorption is used to separate components of syngas and feed them to refineries, GTL units, and power/steam generation units. Hydrogen-rich refinery purge is used to raise the H2/CO ratio of syngas. A hydrogen-enriched syngas is produced with an H2/CO ratio favorable for the production on synthetic hydrocarbons (greater than about 1.5 to about 2.0 or higher). Pure hydrogen is also produced in a PSA unit, to further raise the H2/CO ratio of the syngas and provide hydrogen feed for refinery hydrotreators and synthetic hydrocarbon units (such as methanol units).Type: ApplicationFiled: October 1, 2004Publication date: July 14, 2005Inventor: Chang-Jie Guo

Publication number: 20050150821Abstract: A screen for use in a vibratory machine for separating particulate material from liquid material comprising a rigid rectangular support frame having flanges along all four edges to which screen cloths of the type described are bonded with the longer dimension of the rectangular openings defined by the warp and weft wires of the cloth parallel to the longer dimension of the frame. The frame includes an array orthogonal rigid interstices defining a plurality of similar sized rectangular openings or window and the cloths are also bonded to the interstices for the purpose of maintaining the length to width ratio of the openings in the cloths defined by the warp and weft wires thereof. The warp and weft wires of the cloths are tensioned before being bonded to the flanges and interstices.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2002Publication date: July 14, 2005Inventors: Graham Robertson, Caspar Hassall

Publication number: 20050150822Abstract: The invention relates to a device to be used in connection with thickening and clarifying apparatuses for shear-thinning of solids containing material, such as slurry, which device contains one conduit for feeding material to be shear-thinned and another conduit for discharging back the shear-thinned material between a thickening apparatus and the shear-thinning apparatus. The conduit (3,23) for feeding material to be shear-thinned and another conduit (4,24) for discharging back the shear-thinned material are positioned essentially concentrically to each other at least in the ends connected to the thickening apparatus (2,22).Type: ApplicationFiled: March 3, 2005Publication date: July 14, 2005Inventor: Timo Niitti

Publication number: 20050150823Abstract: A water purification apparatus connected to a water system includes a hopper for holding chemical tablets on a perforated bed and an underlying basin. A spray head is detachably connected to the perforated bed and sprays water onto the tablets and parallel to the perforated bed. The basin receives the water through the perforated bed. Because the hopper allows for the use of different spray head designs, the rate at which water is introduced to the tablets, and thus the chemical output, may be modified by replacing one spray head for another having a different number of spray nozzles or having spray nozzles of a different size or shape. Consequently, the hopper of the present invention may be used for delivering the proper concentration of a variety of water treatment chemicals.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 19, 2004Publication date: July 14, 2005Inventors: Paul Eserkaln, Cuahutemoc Acevedo

Publication number: 20050150824Abstract: A water filtration tank dispensing system comprised of a fill tank and a cabinet body. Disposed within the cabinet is at least one of a cooling chamber and a heating chamber and at least one tap disposed on the cabinet body. The filtration tank is mounted on the top of the cabinet body and comprises a fill tank, a filter holder tray, and a removable reservoir. The filter holder is fluidically connected between the fill tank and the removable reservoir The removable reservoir is disposed within the cabinet top and fluidically connected to the cooling and heating chambers. The fill tank is water tight and comprises a cap assembly containing a valve located on the bottom. In a preferred embodiment, the fill tank is an ultrasonic welded tank. The fill tank is removable from the filtration system for refilling at a location remote from the dispensing unit.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 8, 2004Publication date: July 14, 2005Applicant: Kaz, IncorporatedInventors: Walter Birdsell, Brian Matt

Publication number: 20050150825Abstract: A filter assembly includes housing enclosing a replaceable filter element. A support core is provided in the housing, and includes an extension and locking assembly. The element includes a ring of filtration media with a pair of end caps. The first end cap includes a central opening to receive the support core. The extension and locking assembly prevents the cover of the housing from being attached to the housing body without a proper filter element installed. The extension and locking assembly includes a bypass member and a locking member, which are in locking engagement when an element is absent in the housing. The second end cap includes internal protrusions which engage the locking member when the filter element is installed to disengage the bypass member from the support core, and allow the element to be inserted and the cover to be installed.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 13, 2005Publication date: July 14, 2005Inventors: Michael Clausen, Steven Knight, Martin Maxwell

Publication number: 20050150826Abstract: A fuel-filtering device is disposed inside a fuel tank for filtering a fuel. The fuel-filtering device includes a filter body having a bag shape and a communication hole, and is formed of a plurality of laminated filter layers. The laminated filter layers includes an outside filter layer formed of a woven mesh, an inside filter layer formed of a non-woven fabric, and at least one intermediate filter layer disposed between the outside filter layer and the inside filter layer and formed of a non-woven fabric. The filter body is formed of at least one of a polyethylene fiber and a polypropylene fiber and has mesh sizes decreasing from the outside filter layer toward the inside filter layer.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 15, 2005Publication date: July 14, 2005Applicant: NIFCO INC.Inventors: Hiroji Sato, Kazumasa Kurihara, Yasutomo Kobayashi, Toshihide Kimisawa, Takeshi Kojima
