Hardiness Zone No. 6. The blossoms possess substantial substance and well withstand rain damage in view of the strength of the tepals. The new plant readily forms fans and readily forms a number of scapes per fan. The new cultivar is particularly well suited for growing as distinctive colorful ornamentation in the landscape.

Abstract: An improved outdoor lighting system is provided that comprises a light assembly formed from at least one tubular mast having a distal end for supporting an electrically powered light source, and a proximal end mounted in the ground, and an electrical cable for connecting the light source to an underground power source. The improved system includes an electrical connector assembly in the cable located in the vicinity of the ground-mounted distal end of the tubular mast. The electrical connector assembly spontaneously disconnects in response to an application of an tensile force indicative of an automobile collision with the mast, thereby preventing damaging tensile forces from being transmitted along the underground portion of the cable to the circuit breaker.

Abstract: Pyropheophorbide compounds are injected into a host and accumulate in tumor tissue to a higher degree than surrounding normal tissues. When the pyropheophorbide compounds are exposed to a particular wavelength of light the compounds become cytotoxic and destroy the tumor or diseased tissue without causing irreversible normal tissue damage. The pyropheophorbide compounds have shown improved results as compared to drugs currently used in photodynamic therapy. Further, they absorb light further in the red, optimizing tissue penetration mad are retained in the skin for short time periods relative to other drugs used in photodynamic therapy.

Abstract: A baseball-style cap having a crown portion made of multiple panels, a visor part which is attached to the front part of the crown portion and a headband attached to and extending around the lower inside edge of the crown portion. The headband is a band of two-ply elastic yarn material woven in a tubular or tunnel shape that contains no polyurethane. Abstract: The general method and apparatus of the invention comprises an adjustable strap system to secure one object to another, or one or more objects in a folded, rolled, or gathered position. In one embodiment, the invention comprises a single elongated strap of material having a first end and a second end, one end narrower than the other, a first side and a second side, four fastening surfaces or fasteners, three on one side and one on the opposite side, two positioned on each side of the narrow strap, and two positioned on the wide strap same side opposite the narrow strap. In the fastened state, the adjustable strap system secures the narrow strap by mating four opposing fastening surfaces thereby resulting in a dual locking adjustable strap system. In an alternative embodiment, two separate straps may be utilized with the dual locking mechanism of the present invention.

Abstract: A folding multipurpose tool including adjustable locking pliers with an over-center locking mechanism to retain the jaws in a gripping condition. The jaws of the locking pliers can be folded into the handles of the tool to produce a compact folded configuration. A latch mechanism in the tool handle retains a selected one of several folding tool bits or blades in an extended position for use and includes an abutment arrangement to prevent such a selected tool bit from being extended too far. A spring associated with a tool bit driving socket retains separate tool bits and resists inadvertent removal of an adjustment screw element of the locking pliers. Upon removal of the adjustment screw element, special bits, such as a corkscrew, can be screwed into the tool bit driving socket.
