Abstract: A GaN based substrate is obtained with a simple etching. The GaN based substrate is separate from another base substrate with the etching. The whole process is easy and costs low. The substrate is made of a material having a matching lattice length for a lattice structure so that the substrate has good characteristics. And the GaN based substrate has good heat dissipation so that the stability and life-time of GaN based devices on the GaN based substrate are enhanced even when they are constantly operated under a high power.

Abstract: Nitrogen gas is exhausted from a plurality of gas outlets formed in a relatively upper part of a chamber side portion. The gas outlets are configured such that gas exhaust directions as viewed from the gas outlets are deviated at an equal angle from a central axis that passes through the center of a chamber in a vertical direction. The atmosphere in the chamber is exhausted from a bottom opening formed in a central portion of the bottom surface of the chamber. This produces such a tornado-like flow of nitrogen gas as directing from a relatively upper part of the chamber side portion to the central portion of the bottom surface of the chamber. In this condition, a flash of light is emitted with no semiconductor wafer transported into the chamber, whereby particles in the chamber are scattered and exhausted outside along with the flow of nitrogen gas.

Abstract: The invention relates to a piston spray nozzle (12, 112) for cooling a piston (10) of a combustion engine by means of a liquid jet (20, 120) that is directed to a cooling chamber (14) of the piston (10). According to the invention, a member (16, 116) that has an approximately round cross-section and provides the discharged liquid jet (20,12) with a substantially tubular shape is disposed in the center of the discharge port (15, 115) of the piston spray nozzle (12, 112). The inventive piston spray nozzle delivers a directed, laminar liquid jet who shape remains essentially the same until the jet hits the cooling area (14).

Abstract: The invention relates to a valve train for internal combustion engines, comprising a camshaft and valve actuation elements for one or more valves, the elements being located in the cylinder head. The aim of the invention is to provide a valve train for an internal combustion engine, with which a reliable stroke adjustment of the valves can be made, without the need for complex technical resources, while at the same time allowing a forward or rear displacement of the valve orifice region. To achieve this, in order to modify the valve stroke curve, the contact point between the transfer member and the cam can be displaced along the periphery of the cam and the contact point between the transfer member and a control curve of the support body can be displaced, forcing the part of the transfer member that interacts with the cam to be guided, by shifting the transfer member in relation to the camshaft.
