Abstract: The present disclosure provides an apparatus and method of combining pliers and tubing cutters. The resulting tools offers synergistic results that are unachievable with separate tools. In at least one embodiment, the tubing cutter pliers can be operated by rotating the pliers' handles, cutting the tubing with a cutter wheel on the pliers, and gripping the tubing using the same pliers as was used to cut the tubing. Some intervening steps, particularly, removal of the tubing cutter and replacement of the tubing cutter with pliers, can be eliminated with a resultant increase in efficiency and productivity. In some embodiments, an adjusting mechanism can be provided to offer increased control over the amount of pressure exerted on the tubing by the tubing cutter pliers during the cutting process.

Abstract: A magnetic knife holder has an elongated body having a surface with a flat bottom, two sides, a top and a front, multiple magnet recess formed in the surface of the body, multiple magnets respectively mounted in the magnet recesses and multiple knife slots formed longitudinally in the front of the body for receiving knives. With magnetic attraction force provided by the magnets, knives can be held securely in the knife slots in the body to avoid spilling out of the knife slots when the body is inadvertently turned over and the body can be conveniently attached to a metallic furniture. Additionally, at lease one of the sides and the top of the body is flat such that multiple magnetic knife holders can be neatly juxtaposed or stacked up together.

Further, the body can be conveniently attached to any iron-containing furniture. The utensil includes a stem portion where a user's hand would typically grasp the utensil and a food manipulating portion. A hook is disposed on the utensil stem. In one embodiment, the utensil is a spoon for use with baby food jars. The hook is formed from the same material as the spoon. The hook allows a user to rest the spoon on the rim of the baby food jar so as to position the bowl of the spoon near the bottom of the baby food jar, a position that is the most position to rest a spoon when not in use for purposes of hygiene.

Abstract: What is described is a process and an installation for drying articles, in particular painted vehicle bodies, in which the articles are moved through a drying zone in which they are hardened in an inert-gas atmosphere. Inert gas is taken from the drying zone constantly or intermittently and is first of all conducted along a first face which is at a first temperature at which higher-boiling contaminants condense out. The condensate that forms in the process is discharged. After that, the inert gas which has been pre-cleaned in this way is conducted along at least one second face which is at a lower temperature than the first face. Lower-boiling contaminants are precipitated at this point. These condensates, too, are then discharged. This process and installation work more favourably, energy-wise, and with higher cleaning efficiency than known processes and installations of a similar type.

Abstract: Active-response golf shoes are disclosed. The golf shoes include at least one sensor, a controller, and at least one active-response element. The sensor and controller operate to rapidly determine if a golfer is walking or swinging a golf club. Once this determination is made the controller and active-response element rapidly change the shoe's characteristics. If the controller determines that the golfer is walking, the shoe provides a soft and flexible walking platform. If the controller determines that the golfer is swinging, the shoe morphs or changes automatically to provide a stable hitting platform. The controller senses various predetermined conditions such as pressure under the ball of the user's foot to determine whether the golfer is walking or swinging. The active-response elements may be a sole adjuster, a lace adjuster, and/or an upper adjuster. Methods of determining the golfer's type of movement are also disclosed.

Abstract: An article of footwear is constructed to dynamically provide width adjustment by cooperative expansion and contraction of a longitudinal split midsole with an expansion element integrated with an outsole that allows the midsole to expand from a narrow width to a wider width. Abstract: A high heel for women is provided. The high heels according to the current invention have at least two tall heels fixed to rear end of the bottom of sole of the shoes. Each heel is fixed to the sole with a pin. Each heel is in a shape of concavely curved narrow vertical column whose upper end is flat and wider than the lower end. In case of two heeled shoes, two upper ends of the heels, met at the bottom of the sole, provide an ornament rear view of an arch. The multi heeled high heels according to current invention reduces dislocation of wearer's ankle though the heels are narrow and long.

Abstract: Various embodiments of an evolutionary interchangeable sandal are disclosed. Certain example embodiments described herein relate to various sandal configurations that utilize at least two main elements, including a platform sole base and a strap assembly. These elements may be joined by special fasteners that provide quick-connect or disconnect while securely maintaining sandal integrity and wearability. The platform sole base may be customized in various thicknesses and sandal sizes. The strap assembly may be customized in various shapes, colors, styles, and/or manufacturing materials. In the case of the sole tread/height enhancement addition, the soles tread and height may be interchanged as needed.

The outsole includes a main body and a plurality of lugs extending from the main body to define a plurality of ground engaging elements. The display layer is disposed at the surface of the main body such that it is visible in the main body of the outsole and is spaced away from the surface of the lugs such that it is not visible on the surface of the lugs. The display layer may include a printed pattern, such as a camouflage pattern. The present invention also provides a method for manufacturing an outsole including the general steps of (a) providing a mold defining a main body and a plurality of lugs extending from the main body, (b) placing a permeable display layer in the mold and (c) injecting sole material into the mold. In this method, the permeability of the display layer and/or the viscosity of the sole material may be selected so that the display layer lies along the surface of the main body of the sole but not the surface of the lugs.

Abstract: An adhesive strip for use with a balancing disc for balancing the gait of the user comprises a medial polyester sheet having an upper surface and a lower surface. An acrylic adhesive is the disposed on both the upper and lower surfaces. A silicone release sheet is disposed atop the upper layer of acrylic adhesive and a circular polyester sheet is disposed over the lower layer of adhesive. The overlying polyester sheet is scored to facilitate removal of at least a portion thereof in order to expose a portion of the acrylic adhesive for immediate adherence to a surface of an associated balancing disc. After emplacement, the other portion of the polyester sheet is removed to secure the adhesive to the disc. When the silicone release sheet is removed, the disc can then be readily applied to an insole or to a footwear item.

Abstract: The cuff protector is an accessory worn by the user to prevent a pants cuff from slipping between the heel of a foot and the user's footwear. The cuff protector includes an upper loop adapted to be releasably worn about the user's ankle and a lower loop adapted for releasable attachment to the heel of the user's footwear. The upper and lower loops are joined by a central connector or by a tether. Preferably, the upper loop, lower loop and the tether have adjustable lengths, respectively, allowing for adjustable and releasable attachment.

Abstract: A hydraulically-operated ripper tool mounted as an attachment on a hydraulic aim of a carrier or excavator is used for demolition of large metal walled structures such as storage tanks in a very short time. The ripper tool has a sharp point for punching entry holes into the tank walls, so that no torch cutting of entry holes needs to be used, particularly where there might be volatile residues left in the tank. The ripper tool has a concave, sharp inner edge and is operated by the hydraulic aim in reciprocation so as to provide a shearing force to cut quickly through metal walls in “can-opener” fashion. The ripper tool facilitates making long vertical cuts into the tank wall from top to bottom, so that a series of vertical cuts can be made to weaken a side of the tank and allow the top of the tank structure to be brought down.

A hydraulic actuation assembly is arranged to lift the scraper bowl to carry its contents from a first site to a second site. A gate is coupled to the front end of the scraper bowl to capture the contents of the scraper bowl when its contents are moved from a first site to a second site. An implement quick-attach assembly is also provided for coupling the skid steer vehicle to the scraper frame in such a way that the frame can be made to pivot to vary the pressure between the earth being traversed and the cutting blade.

Abstract: A sign panel made of light transmitting material, has a front displaying side and a rear side, the sign panel has a background portion that is preferably a flat surface and a protruding portion that forms a sign character, wherein a lighting blocking layer attached to said background portion of the sign panel, and a highlight coating coated on said protruding portion of the rear side of the sign panel. Light can go through the protruding portion with a highlight coating. The sign panel can use without a complicated neon light tubes, and the sign panel contains no mercury versus argon based neon tubes. This is a huge win from the environmental side as there is no use for mercury inside LED signs.

In an embodiment of the apparatus in which multiple arms are used, the arms can be connected with a crossbar, and the crossbar can further include one or more posts disposed thereon to aid in the non-permanent clamping of the apparatus to the vehicle.

The side panels may include one or more pockets for dispensing promotional materials. An electronic image display may be affixed to the cover or attached directly within the frame, or on the top or side of the frame. Images can be changed on the display in response to motion detectors, as the result of voice activation or based upon a stored program. The image display may be linked to a computer over a network. The images shown may be accompanied by sound.
