Abstract: A modular copying system including combinations of printer, scanner, and system controller modules formed as independent frames. Rather, the hermetic seal can be used to seal a variety of surfaces including metals, polymers, plastics, alloys, ceramics and the like.

Space conditioning equipment is activated by comparison of a setpoint to a control value averaged from values of environmental conditions in occupied rooms.

The crescent shaped opening allows more flow at a central area of the brim, yet it narrows toward lateral edges of the brim to ensure that sunlight toward the wearer's sides is adequately blocked from eye contact. This novel structure provides maximum shading of the wearer's face, yet directs considerable airflow from beneath and above the brim through the opening to cool the wearer's eccrine glands along the forehead.

The apparatus also includes a spring (9) that is adapted to be deformed by the rod to thereby bias the rod and a lever (11) movable with respect to the mounting bolt. A latch release mechanism (25, 27) coupled to the lever is also included. Upon flushing the toilet when the cover is open, and when the closure apparatus is mounted on the bowl ledge, the latch release mechanism causes the latch point of the lever to move with respect to the mounting bolt and allows the spring to move the rod, which pushes the cover, to thereby close the cover.

Abstract: A self-cleaning urinal anti-splash device having a series of angled deflectors which send the urine stream ever deeper into a series of channels leading down toward the urinal drain. The angled deflectors not only send the urine stream ever deeper into the channels, but they simultaneously prevent the urine from exiting the channels in any direction other than downward toward the drain. This is accomplished by virtue of the fact that inner faces of the deflectors are adapted to deflect the urine back toward the urinal wall. No plane perpendicular to the direction of the initial urine stream is presented to the user. Gravity then causes it to flow to the drain. The device is also self cleaning because there is nothing to prevent the water of a flush cycle from passing through the vertical channels by gravity feed, thereby removing all the urine on the deflector surfaces. The device can be made of metal, plastic, rubber, or other inexpensive easily moldable substance.
