Abstract: A rupture type openable beverage container lid in the form of a beverage can lid (10) comprises an opening tab (12) mounted to a centrally positioned rivet (14) and a shield (16) lying against the inside surface (18) of the wall (20) of the lid (10). The tab (12) is also mounted to be swivelled about the rivet (14). The shield (16) is secured to the tab (12) via a shaft (38) passing snugly though a bore along the rivet (14). The shaft (38) is secured against release of gas at its inner end (38.4). The tab (12) and the shield (16) lie in alignment with one another with the shield (16) being swivellable in conjunction with the tab (12) to close off an opening formed in the lid (10) as conventionally formed by way of a rupture type action.

Abstract: A device is fitted with a pouring tube which can be raised after opening a blocking-off cover and which can then be folded back down, as also can the cover, to close the container again hermetically so as to preserve a remaining portion of the beverage for consumption at a later time. A locking arrangement which breaks when the cover is opened for the first time tells the purchaser or consumer that the container is intact or that it has already been opened. The present security closure device always keeps the pouring tube in a hygienic state of a standard appropriate for foodstuffs and keeps the contents of the container free of any soiling or external contamination. The security closure device, which is small in thickness, is simple to fix to the top of any current container and, in particular to any carton made of cardboard or a similar material.

Abstract: A fuel container for a fuel cell, comprises a liquid fuel chamber having a space for the storage of liquid fuel, a valve disposed in an outlet of the liquid fuel chamber to discharge the liquid fuel from the space or stop the discharge, a partition wall member movable through the space toward the valve, and a compressed gas chamber communicating with the space and storing compressed gas, the compressed gas imparting a back pressure to the partition wall member so that the partition wall member moves through the space toward the valve, the liquid fuel chamber and the compressed gas chamber being integral with each other. This fuel container is used as a fuel container for replenishing fuel to a fuel container installed in a fuel cell or can be installed into a fuel cell.

Abstract: The technology described herein provides hydrogen storage and delivery systems, including both on-board and off board systems. Additionally, the technology provides a conformable high-pressure hydrogen storage vessel that utilizes porous hollow microspheres to store and release hydrogen. This technology still further provides a net endothermic (upon gas desorption) material inserted into and encapsulated within the porous hollow microspheres to store hydrogen, and a heat exchange system to release the stored hydrogen out of the microspheres.

Abstract: The invention provides an insulated container having a temperature monitoring device that can be used to maintain an object stored in the container at a temperature that is below the normal operating temperature of the temperature monitoring device while still permitting the taking of measurements of the interior of the container. The container includes an RF transponder having an RF antenna, a temperature sensor, and a battery that is operatively connected to the transponder and the temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is positioned in the container so that it is in a temperature monitoring relationship with the interior space of the container. The battery is positioned at least partially in one of the walls of the container at a location that is spaced apart from the temperature sensor and that is selected so that the battery does not experience a temperature that is below an operating temperature of the battery.

The linen like paper material is made of high quality soft paper which is disposable. The cover varies in dimension according to the items it protects. The sample cover is made for a typical salt and pepper shaker and is 5?? in diameter, 3½? height and an elastic band which is placed 3? from the base. Abstract: A beverage system includes a pump that draws a set mount of a flavored concentrate into a mixing chamber through a conduit for mixing with water to form a beverage. A sensor detects when the amount of the flavored concentrate in the conduit or in the container is low or out. The sensor includes two wings each including a recessed surface that together defines a circular space. A portion of the conduit is received in the circular space. Each of the wings includes an ultrasonic portion that emits ultrasonic waves that are non-intrusive. When the amount of flavored concentrate in the conduit is low, air bubbles are generated in the flow along the conduit and/or a vacuum is created in the conduit to draw the conduit away from the recessed surface. The ultrasonic waves detect either of these two features, indicating that the amount of the flavored concentrate is low.

Abstract: A lighted bottle pourer has a standard shape and size top spout and lower stopper base. The bottle pourer is inserted into the top of a liquor bottle. Inside the top spout is a circuit board having two small liquid activated leads that stick out into the central pouring tube. The circuit board containing the electronics also has two LEDs that protrude through a reflective ring and a power supply of batteries. When liquid is poured from the bottle, through the spout and out of the top, the liquid activated leads cause the electrical circuit to be energized and light up the LEDs. When the bartender is finished pouring out the liquor, the leads return the electronic circuit to the open position and the LEDs are shut off.

The plungers (20, 22) are formed such that they are slidably movable inside the side walls (12, 14) of their respective chambers, wherein movement of the back plunger (22) effects synchronous movement of the front plunger (20). The dispenser further includes a nozzle (10) attached to the front wall (11) of the front chamber (28) and a conduit (26) within the container for conveying the content of the back chamber (30) directly to the nozzle (10). The conduit (26) is a cylindrical telescopic tube consisting of a front inner tube (16) and a back inner tube (18).

A first output line is in fluid communication with the blower motor to provide a low-pressure stream of air. A second output line is in fluid communication with the pump assembly to provide a low-pressure fluid. An egress is attached to the housing, and the low-pressure fluid joins with the low-pressure stream of air and exits the housing through the egress.

The gravity tube has at least one flexible side wall. A device for mechanically pressing-in the at least one side wall of the gravity tube is also provided. In order to reliably exclude an accumulation of product in the gravity tube during filling and to increase the filling accuracy, the device for mechanically pressing-in the side wall of the gravity tube has rotatable elements for deforming the cross-section of the gravity tube. In this case, the side wall of the gravity tube is temporarily inwardly deformed by the device for mechanically pressing-in according to a specified scheme.

Abstract: Systems and methods for delivering liquid orally to a mouth of a user are provided. The systems includes a container, a tube coupled to the container, and an oral device positionable in a mouth of a user. Liquid is containable in the container, expellable from the container, through the tube, and to the oral device. From the oral device, the liquid is expelled into a mouth of a user. The container may be an elastomeric pump for expelling liquid therefrom at a constant and predetermined rate. The oral device can be a mouth guard, a night guard, a buccal shield, or dentures. These systems and methods are helpful in treating xerostomia, otherwise known as dry mouth.

Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for dispensing one or more products to an assembly for carrying out this method, including a form-retaining container for receiving the product(s), the container having an outflow opening, and devices for introducing into the container a medium for displacing the product(s). The displacing medium introduction devices are arranged for introducing the displacing medium into the container such that it exerts on the product(s) substantially only a force directed towards the outflow opening. The displacing medium introduction devices may include a chamber that is separated from the part of the container containing the product(s) via a flexible diaphragm. The dispensing assembly may further include a dispensing adapter connected to the container around the outflow opening and supporting a movable closure member.
