The screen is wound around the winding roller and has a first end and a second end. The first end is fixed to the winding roller, and the second end is a free end. Therefore, the length of the screen pulled down by a user is the desired length and does not need further adjustment.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 18, 2008Publication date: May 20, 2010Applicant: ZIPSHADE INDUSTRIAL (B.V.I.) Publication number: 20100122781Abstract: This electro-mechanical actuator is used to operate a curtain mounted to slide along an axis. It comprises a motor (24), a power supply unit (22) for powering the motor and a box (20), the motor (24) and the power supply unit (22) being received in a first housing (L1) that is internal to the box (20). The box (20) forms at least one second internal housing (L2, L?2), separated from the first internal housing by a wall (35, 43) of the box, and in which an electrical or electronic component (28, 50) of the actuator is received that is distinct from the motor (24) and from the power supply unit (22). A removable cover (33, 41) isolates the or each second housing (L2, L?2) from the outside of the box (20).Type: ApplicationFiled: November 13, 2009Publication date: May 20, 2010Applicant: SOMFY SASInventors: Olivier Charleux, Scot Cochran, Jean-Michel Perache, Rich Scharf

Publication number: 20100122783Abstract: The present invention is an environmentally conscious window covering that will reduce the demand for electricity and appeal to the market for green building products used in construction and remodeling projects. The present invention is generally comprised of three layers, an outer eco-friendly (or “green) fabric layer that faces the interior of a building, an inner layer that may comprise polyethylene (PET) film layer that is aluminized and reflects 99% of ultraviolet rays, and an inner sheer layer that faces the window. The three layers are not adhered by synthetic or toxic adhesives. The present invention may also be equipped with an opening in the outer layer in the upper portion that can receive a rod for installation in the window space.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 19, 2009Publication date: May 20, 2010Inventors: Angela Harris, Rosa Brown

Publication number: 20100122784Abstract: A method and apparatus for the treatment of pulp mill condensates is described. A hollow fiber contactor, incorporating a hydrophobic membrane, was used to remove several undesirable compounds from pulp mill condensates. For example, TRS compounds and SO2 were efficiently stripped from kraft and sulphite mill evaporator condensates, respectively. Methanol was also removed from kraft mill condensates but at a lower efficiency than TRS. Furthermore, other undesirable compounds found in condensates of pulp mills that contribute to the BOD and COD loading to effluent treatment systems were also removed. These contactors are cost effective since air, vacuum or a suitable solvent or scrubbing solution can be used as the stripping medium to drive off through the membrane several undesirable compounds from the feed solution. The undesirable compounds removed can thus be burned in the recovery boiler, lime kiln or a dedicated boiler.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 24, 2008Publication date: May 20, 2010Inventors: Naceur Jemaa, Michael Paleologou, Brian O'connor

Publication number: 20100122785Abstract: The invention provides a composition of matter used to produce very soft high grades of tissue paper. The composition of matter comprises a PAE resin acidified with a multifunctional acid. The multifunctional acid includes but is not limited to carboxyl and sulfonyl. The acid has a functional group selected from carboxyl and sulfonyl and a functional group selected from carboxyl, sulfonyl, hydroxyl, lactone, phenol, amine and heterocycle. The PAE resin facilitates the use of an adhesive in a Yankee Dryer apparatus that is durable when the adhesive is wet but remains soft when the adhesive becomes dry. These properties allow the adhesive to be strong and remain engaged to the dryer apparatus when wet but be easily removed by the creping blade when dry.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 18, 2008Publication date: May 20, 2010Inventors: Vladimir A.
