Patent number: 7784758Abstract: A motorized mount system includes first and second mount brackets, where one or both of the mount brackets is motorized to pivot a monitor. The motorized bracket includes a motorized actuator system that releaseably engages with the monitor. The actuator system includes a moving block that releaseably pushes the monitor to tilt up, and uses the weight of the monitor to tilt down the monitor. The monitor can be separated with the moving block so that if a foreign object gets between the bottom end of the monitor and the wall, the foreign object needs to counteract the weight of the monitor but not the force due to the motor.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2009Date of Patent: August 31, 2010Inventors: Sung I. Patent number: 7784760Abstract: A motorcycle turntable includes an elongated ramp assembly pivotally supported for slidable rotation about an approximate mid-point. The elongated ramp assembly includes an outer low friction skid plate attached to its reverse side generally adjacent each of its opposed outer ends. The weight of a conventional motorcycle is sufficient to cause the elongated ramp assembly to flex so that its ends bend downwardly towards the floor. As the elongated ramp assembly with its drooping ends is rotated about its midpoint on a pedestal-bearing assembly, the low friction skid plates skid across the floor. Most of the weight is born by the pedestal-bearing assembly, which includes at least one low friction plate. The thickness of the skid plates and the flexibility of the structure are such as to allow the ends to droop into light contact with the floor. This permits slidable rotation to be accomplished.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2006Date of Patent: August 31, 2010Inventor: Jerry Ramsey

Patent number: 7784770Abstract: A membrane exchange humidifier employs a water permeable membrane comprising a microporous polymer and a hydrophilic additive. In operation, the membrane preferably has favorable water transmission properties and resists transmission of reactant gas or other components. The membrane is suitable for use even when permeable in its dry condition to the wet or dry gases in the humidifier, and/or when the wet and dry gases are of different composition. By wetting the membrane, the presence of an amount of liquid water in the wet gas can reduce gas transmission through the membrane to an acceptable level. The humidifier is useful in fuel cell systems in which a reactant gas supply stream, such as the oxidant supply stream, is humidified primarily using water vapor from a fuel cell reactant exhaust stream. The humidifier is particularly suitable for use in conjunction with solid polymer fuel cell systems. The improved mechanical and welding properties of the membrane allow for a simpler humidifier configuration.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2006Date of Patent: August 31, 2010Assignee: BDF IP Holdings Ltd.Inventor: Alexander D Mossman

Patent number: 7784797Abstract: A sealing and gripping element for an expandable downhole tool features a ring supporting a sealing material with radially extending rings into the sealing material during run in. Expansion of the underlying ring brings the sealing material into contact with the surrounding tubular. It also forces the radially extending rings through the sealing material and into contact with the surrounding tubular. As a result the tips of the extending rings are blunted to create metal to metal seals on the surrounding tubular. Hardened inserts are also located within the sealing material for run in. Upon expansion of the underlying base ring, the inserts break through the sealing material and penetrate the surrounding tubular to enhance grip when high differential pressures are encountered.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 2006Date of Patent: August 31, 2010Assignee: Baker Hughes IncorporatedInventors: John L. Patent number: 7784800Abstract: A height adjustment on a wheel suspension for motor vehicles, having a shock absorber which has a piston rod, which shock absorber is dynamically connected to the vehicle body, and to which shock absorber a helical spring is coaxially assigned which is clamped between two spring plates that can be changed in their active distance and that determine the spring deflection and rebound path relative to a normal level, the body-side end of the shock absorber being assigned a shock absorber cap which influences the free spring path “s” of the helical spring and which is made adjustable at the same time with the adjustable spring plate.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2008Date of Patent: August 31, 2010Assignee: Audi AGInventor: Wifried Michel

Patent number: 7784801Abstract: A brake mechanism for a baby stroller has a wheel brake device, a connecting element, an actuator and a retainer. The wheel brake device is operatively connected to a wheel set of the stroller. The actuator is controllable connected to the upper portion of the stroller for driving the wheel brake device via the connecting element to brake the wheel of the stroller. The retainer is used to engage with the actuator to keep the actuator in a locked position.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2007Date of Patent: August 31, 2010Assignee: Link Treasure LimitedInventor: Chuan-Ming Yeh

Patent number: 7784805Abstract: A Progressive Compression Suspension is disclosed. The suspension operates to provide floating opposed mounting points for each end of the suspension's shock absorber. The bottom end of the shock absorber pivotally attaches to the lower suspension arm, and the upper end of the shock absorber pivotally attaches to a compression linkage. The compression linkage is pivotally attached to the vehicle frame or chassis, such that it rocks back forth when the suspension engages rough terrain and the top of the shock absorber works in opposition to the bottom of the shock absorber. The rocking of the compression linkage is created by an actuating linkage interconnecting the compression linkage and an eccentric arm extending inwardly towards the frame from the pivot point of the lower suspension arm.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2005Date of Patent: August 31, 2010Inventor: Dan Morgan

Patent number: 7784806Abstract: The invention relates to an independent wheel suspension for the rear wheels of motor vehicles, having a wheel support which is hinge-connected to at least one upper and one lower control arm, the lower control arm being connected by way of two more or less horizontal arm bearings forming pivot axes on the body of the motor vehicle and on the wheel support and a guide arm of the wheel support to another bearing, and also having a bearing spring resting on the wheel support and a more or less vertically oriented telescopic shock absorber. For the creation of a structurally and elastokinematically favorable wheel suspension it is proposed, as viewed from above, that the other guide rod is mounted more or less in the lower guide rod plane and diagonally forward from the exterior toward the interior, in such a way that the intersection of imaginary extensions of the other guide rod and the rear bearing points of the lower guide rod is positioned beyond the extended wheel center axis.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2006Date of Patent: August 31, 2010Assignee: Audi AGInventors: Walter Schmidt, Hugo Muller, Hans Jurgen Brandl, Friedrich Killian

Patent number: 7784807Abstract: The invention relates to a suspension for the wheels of an axle of a motor vehicle, especially for the steered front wheels. Said wheel suspension comprises wheel carriers that rotatably bear the wheels and are arranged so as to create straight-line steering via several individual links which are pivotally connected to the motor vehicle body and one respective track rod. Resilient means which directly or indirectly impress a certain prestress that acts around the spread axle of the wheels and in the opposite direction are provided in the wheel suspension in order to improve steering return and steering precision.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 2003Date of Patent: August 31, 2010Assignee: Audi AGInventors: Hans-Jurgen Brandl, Jaromir Kur
