Patent number: 7959095Abstract: This invention relates to a supersonic center-feed nozzle system within the feed-inlet tube of a fluid-energy mill used for grinding particulate material such as titanium dioxide. Particularly, in the feed-inlet tube of the present invention, particulate material is introduced into the supersonic feed jet of primary grinding fluid in almost a perpendicular fashion, with the supersonic nozzle installed in the center of the particulate material core, imparting momentum to the particulate material. The momentum entrains the particulate into the main grinding chamber of the feed-inlet tube. In the main grinding chamber of the feed-inlet tube, a secondary stream of grinding fluid, introduced annularly, constricts the primary jet's divergent flow, enabling a higher turbulent mixing of the grinding fluids and the particulate material.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2007Date of Patent: June 14, 2011Assignee: E. A set-screw or the like is threaded through a top of the support base to limit the angular travel of the tubular leg relative to the support base. A spring loaded retention pin is retained in the insert boss. An object support insert includes an object insert pin and an accessory retention device. A ball detent preferably extends radially from an end of the object insert pin. A retention groove is formed in a perimeter of the object insert pin for engagement with the retention pin.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2008Date of Patent: June 14, 2011Inventor: John J. Kitscha

Patent number: 7959124Abstract: The invention provides a reading stand. The reading stand may include a base including a base member case. Further, the reading stand may include a reading lid disposed upon the base member case, the reading lid including a reading platform having a front side and a backside; and at least one page holder adjustably mounted on the reading platform so as to assist in retaining a document on the front side of the reading platform. Further, a support member is provided. The support member extends from the backside of the reading platform, and is adapted to engage with the base so as to support the reading lid upon the base. For example, the support member may be in the form of a side support clip that substantially vertically supports the reading lid upon the base for side reading.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 2007Date of Patent: June 14, 2011Assignee: Phifer IncorporatedInventors: Beverly C. Patent number: 7959125Abstract: A footing cleat used to construct a concrete footing with integrally attached concrete wall located thereon. In the first embodiment, the cleat includes an elongated footing member with two downward brackets attached to its opposite ends. During use, the footing member is aligned transversely over the top edge surfaces of two sideboards used to construct the footing's concrete form. The brackets extend downward over the outside surface of the two sideboards. Extending upward from the footing member is a vertical wall support member. Formed on the wall support member is a plurality of holes used to receive nails or pins that hold pieces of horizontally aligned rebar used in a vertical wall constructed over the footing. The nails or pins are designed to temporally hold the pieces of horizontal rebar in place until the entire rebar wall is constructed. They can then be easily removed so that the cleat can be disassembled from the footing.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2005Date of Patent: June 14, 2011Inventor: Chuck E. Coleman

Patent number: 7959126Abstract: A moldboard positioning assembly is adapted for positioning at least two spaced-apart moldboards each having at least one through hole. The moldboard positioning assembly includes a spacer block and two threaded connecting poles. The spacer block is adapted for passing through the through hole of one of the moldboards and is adapted to be disposed between and to abut against the moldboards. The threaded connecting poles respectively project from two opposite ends of the spacer block, and each of the threaded connecting poles is adapted to penetrate through the through hole of a corresponding one of the moldboards. The spacer block has a cross section larger than that of the threaded connecting poles.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 2007Date of Patent: June 14, 2011Inventor: Jen-Hsin Lee

Patent number: 7959127Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a dirty service valve including an axial trim which, as a result of its structural attributes and extended stroke length, provides increased Cv capacity relative to valve plug size in comparison to existing prior art designs. In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, the axial trim integrated into the valve of the present invention is configured to provide a linear flow characteristic. In accordance with an alternative embodiment of the present invention, the axial trim may be configured to provide a non-linear flow characteristic which, coupled with the extended stroke length thereof, provides improved flow control in addition to increased Cv capacity. The axial trim possessing the above-described structural and functional attributes may also be integrated into an axial body or housing, thus making the use of rotary actuators in conjunction with the axial trim more feasible.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2008Date of Patent: June 14, 2011Assignee: Control Components, Inc.Inventors: Raymond R. Patent number: 7959128Abstract: An electromagnetic actuating unit (10) of a hydraulic directional control valve (9) is provided having an armature (18) which is arranged such that it can be axially displaced within an armature space (30), and includes a pole core (29) which is arranged in a receptacle (27a) and delimits the armature space (30) in a movement direction of the armature (18). Constructions are provided in order to avoid deposits on a guide surface of the armature (18), as a result of which the dynamics and the response behavior of the actuating unit (10) are increased and hysteresis effects and the risk of a malfunction of the actuating unit are minimized.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 2006Date of Patent: June 14, 2011Assignee: Schaeffler Technologies GmbH & Co. Patent number: 7959130Abstract: The invention relates to a vacuum valve for gas-tight sealing of a flow path, comprising at least one thrust rod, which has a cylindrical connecting section, and a closure plate which is removably mounted on the thrust rod and has at least one concave, semicircular first rod recess corresponding to the connecting section. A clamping piece, which has a concave, semicircular second rod recess corresponding to the connecting section, is adjustably mounted by means of a mechanical fixing element on the closure plate in such a way that the semicircular first rod recess and the opposite semicircular second rod recess define a cylindrical holding region which is adjustable in width and in which the cylindrical connecting section is detachably held.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2009Date of Patent: June 14, 2011Assignee: Vat Holding AGInventor: Bernhard Duelli

Patent number: 7959131Abstract: The system incorporates wire deflection, taut wire detection for perimeter security applications. Generally, the system of the invention provides intrusion detection by an internal mechanism. The internal mechanism can detect wire deflection in any direction. In turn, given a sufficient amount of wire deflection, a security system is signaled. However, the force required to sufficiently deflect the wires is high enough so as to minimize nuisance alarms. The internal mechanism is generally held within a structure so that it is protected from tampering. As such, the internal mechanism is also kept separate from the wire array so that it is protected from attempts by an intruder to isolate the wire array.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2007Date of Patent: June 14, 2011Assignee: Zareba Security, Inc.Inventors: James B.
