Abstract: A subterranean pump is delivered on coiled tubing with power and control cables running inside. The pump suction has a tubular inlet that seals in a polished bore in the surrounding tubular. A diverter opens a lateral port and closes entry to the pump suction when the pump is not running and the formation pressure is high enough to bring production to the surface. This configuration prevents the pump from turning while the formation pressure allows production to the surface. If the pump is started it reduces pressure ahead of a movable plug to draw it toward the pump against a spring bias. The lateral ports close and an inline flow path opens to allow the pump to draw through the diverter and discharge into the annular space around the coiled tubing on the way to the surface.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an oil-pressure type fixed piston sampler for sampling a soil sample for site investigation. The oil-pressure type fixed piston sampler comprises a sampling unit (12) and an oil-pressure controller (14). Here, when the sampling unit (12) inserted into a drilled hole and a movable piston (80) moves downward, a sampling tube (1) moves downward to take a sample. The oil-pressure controller (14) connected with the sampling unit (12) controls oil pressure to cause the movable piston (80) to shift vertically. The sampling unit (12) comprises an upper head (20), a lower head (40), a piston housing (70), a rod block (100), a movable rod (90), a fixed piston (110), a fixed rod (92) and a separation rod (94). Since the sampling tube (1) takes a sample by a piston indentation method, high-quality, undisturbed samples can be obtained.

Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus, method and system for stimulating production of a natural resource (e.g., Oil, gas or water) producing well using vibrational energy delivered to the geological formation combined with one or more existing EOR treatments. Pressure waves are applied through a device that maybe permanently installed, and continuously or periodically operated during EOR treatment and even later during recovery of the natural resource. The vibrational energy provide a synergistic effect with existing EOR treatments, enhancing the outcome of EOR treatments. The invention provides a downhole type apparatus constructed to resist corrosion and provides one or more heat sink chambers for controlling heat dissipation during operation. The system provided by the invention is capable of monitoring production, adapting stimulation parameters based on user input and other pertinent parameters.

The invention is further directed to a small vessel moored to the SSR by a line such as a hawser, the riser providing an anchor to the vessel, and the SSR carrying fluids from the well to the vessel and from the vessel to the well. Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a printed wiring board in which solder bumps of a mounted semiconductor chip are less prone to be ruptured. The printed wiring board includes a dielectric layer having a main surface and a connecting pad embedded in the dielectric layer. The connecting pad is shaped like a brimmed hat. That is, the connecting pad includes a plate portion whose diameter is larger than that of a contact portion. The main surface of the contact portion is exposed at the main surface of the dielectric layer. Diameter of the contact portion is substantially the same as diameter of an under bump metal at the semiconductor chip side, when mechanical stress is applied, the stress disperses evenly to both of the connecting pad and the under bump metal, and thus rupture is less prone to occur.
