Abstract: A transformer that improves the DC superposition characteristic without incurring eddy-current losses. In the transformer, a part of a plate-like core opposing a top face of a flange of a drum core is formed with a first opposing portion opposing none of input and output terminals and a second opposing portion opposing the input and output terminals. A first gap is formed between the top face and the first opposing portion by a spacer. A second gap greater than the first gap is formed by a recess of the plate-like core provided so as to correspond to the second opposing portion. This allows magnetic fluxes to pass between the top face and the first opposing portion where the gap is formed and inhibits them from passing between the plate-like core and the input and output terminals where the second gap greater than the first gap is formed.

The sampled values are sorted into groups separately for each azimuth of directivity, and are accumulated separately for each group. The position of the tire shown by the azimuth of directivity of the group whose accumulated value is the largest is determined as being the position of the tire equipped with the transmitter that is transmitting the information.

Abstract: A control method of an LPI lamp for an LPI vehicle and logic for the control method can turn on again an LPG switch when the LPG switch is unintentionally turned off, by making a driver recognize whether the LPG switch is turned off, by switching an LPI lamp on and off. For this configuration, the control method of an LPI lamp for an LPI vehicle includes checking whether an LPG switch that stops fuel supply to an engine has been turned on or off, and switching the LPI lamp on and off, when it is determined that the LPG switch has been turned off, in an LPI vehicle in an ignition-on state.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide a notification system for timed power supply, which includes a timed power supply device and a wireless notification device. The timed power supply device is able to receive a set time inputted by a user and stores the set time into a memory module, and then starts timing, providing power supply and generating an elapsed time, respectively. When the timed power supply device determines that the difference between the elapsed time and the set time reaches a threshold value, the timed power supply device issues a notification signal through a wireless transmitter module to the wireless notification device carried by the user, so as to ensure that the user will be notified, via an alert signal generated by the wireless notification device according to the notification signal, that the set time is coming to an end.

Abstract: One or more natural resources (e.g., bodies of water, volumes of air or earth, mineral deposits, or wildlife populations) may be tracked by one or more natural resource quality sensors, each of which may detect and report various natural resource quality indicators (e.g., indicators of purity, biological or chemical contaminants, physical properties, and indicators of various components of a processing facility managing the natural resource, such as a water supply system). These indicators may be reported to one or more natural resource servers, which may store the indicators and, upon request of one or more users, generate a natural resource quality report indicating the quality of various natural resources. Reports may also be generated spontaneously and delivered as an alert based upon alert criteria (e.g., upon detecting a water height in a river correlated with flooding, a natural resource server may notify users residing near the river).

Abstract: A programmable interface module includes a linear power regulator to control and provide power to interfaced components on an as needed basis. The interface module is implemented in, for example, a sensor pack and multiplexed to a plurality of sensor modules. In a first mode, the linear voltage regulator provides a relatively small amount of power which allows a sensor module to output a signal responsive to detecting an environmental condition (e.g., gamma or x-ray radiation, extreme temperatures, etc.). The interface module can switch the linear voltage regulator to a second mode in which the linear voltage regulator ramps up the amount of power provided to a detecting sensor module. The sensor module can then provide a level indicative of a concentration or intensity of the environmental condition. If the level surpasses a predetermined threshold, the senor pack can output an alert signal to security server.

Personal or automated intervention is determined algorithmically by a data processor. A human interface for the data center management system is provided. Removable electronic assets contained in the rack spaces each have an identifier tag. An identifier tag reader is installed on the cabinet body. A door sensor provides a signal responsive to whether a cabinet door is closed, open, locked, or unlocked. Also, a secure contact arrangement has a base terminal formed of electrically conductive material, and first and second electrically conductive elements. A resilient non-conductive element is interposed between the first and second electrically conductive elements, and a compression element compresses the resilient non-conductive element to cause the first and second electrically conductive elements to communicate with one another.
