  • Patent number: 8430213
Abstract: Provided is an electric brake capable of accurately estimating the brake pad temperature and securing a sufficient braking force and response. An electric brake has a disc rotor rotating with a wheel, an actuator for rectilinearly actuating a piston in the axial direction of the disc rotor by using an electric motor, a drive controller for controlling the drive of the actuator, a brake pad pressed by the piston to give a frictional resistance to the disc rotor in the direction of rotation, and a braking start position detector for detecting a braking start position of the piston where the disc rotor is brought into contact with the brake pad. The drive controller stores the braking start position detected by the braking start position detector as the maximum braking start position. When the braking start position shifts in the pressing force-increasing direction, the drive controller updates the value stored as the maximum braking-start position.

  • Patent number: 8430214
Abstract: A braking system allows for smooth and accurate stopping of a camera dolly operating on tracks. A pair of caliper brake modules attached to the dolly frame are sized so that they fit over and at least partially surrounds the track. When the caliper brakes are activated, brake pads are moved towards the surrounded track squeezing it and providing a significant braking force. This permits the dolly to be smoothly brought to a stop with no possibility of the dolly wheel locking and skidding. The braking system can be temporarily attached to the dolly by a removable fastener system, or it can be permanently built into the dolly. A master hydraulic cylinder with a conveniently placed actuating lever is connected to the brake caliper modules by hydraulic lines so that slave hydraulic cylinders can apply the brakes in response to the actuating lever.

  • Patent number: 8430218
Abstract: In lifting columns (1) for tables and similar articles of furniture and consisting of pipe profiles (2a, 2b) with intermediate slides (8), it is a problem that the profiles (2a, 2b) have relatively great dimensional tolerances. This means that the gap between two successive sections may vary relatively much, which causes a great play in the column. This is solved in that at least one of these sections (2a) at one of the slides (8) is formed with a local deformation of the wall inwards toward the slide to press the slide inwards against the following section (2b). The dimensional tolerances may be neutralized by suitable arrangement and selection of deformations as well as the force with which the deformation is made.

  • Patent number: 8430228
Abstract: A system for aligning items, such as bottles, includes a rotating plate and a diverter arm that extends outward over a top surface of the plate towards the plate edge. A rotating channel may surround the plate. In operation, bottles are dropped onto the plate and rotated by the plate against the arm. The distance between the top surface of the arm and the plate surface is such that the arm generally diverts the bottles outward and guides them into free gaps within the channel. The distance is also configured such that as bottles back-up, waiting for free channel gaps, the arm allows any buckling bottles to pass over and back onto the plate, rather than into the channel. The distance may also be configured such that the arm acts like a scoop. As bottles back-up behind the arm, the arm presses under the bottles along the arm and passes them over, relieving the pressure.

By the provision of a magnetically soft plate, a work carrier has uniformly spaced clearances with respect to the secondary part and can be moved by the suitably arranged primary part. On an assembly line, it can be provided that the primary parts supplement the unction of an existing transporting bet. It may also be provided that a transporting belt is completely replaced by such primary parts.

Abstract: A case for a bar type mobile electronic device is provided. The case includes a main body and an auxiliary body. The main body includes a periphery part and guide parts. The periphery part wraps the sides of the mobile electronic device. The guide parts cover parts of the front and back of the mobile electronic device. The guide parts are extended in the direction where the mobile electronic device is located at both opposite edges of the periphery part. The auxiliary body wraps the outer surface of the periphery part. The auxiliary body applies pressure to the main body in the direction of the mobile electronic device. The auxiliary body assists the main body to couple to the mobile electronic device, so that the case cannot be easily removed from the mobile electronic device and can protect the mobile electronic device from scratches and external impact.
