Abstract: A lighting apparatus for controlling a plant disease is provided to reliably inhibit a spore formation and a hyphal growth of a filamentous fungi, reliably induce a disease resistance, prevent a leaf scorch, and promote a growth of a plant. A UV light source repeats a light irradiation which has an irradiation pattern of combining a light irradiation, in which UV-C and UV-B and a visible light are superimposed, with a visible light irradiation alone at least twice a day. The emission of UV-B and UV-C enables the reliable inhibition of the spore formation of the filamentous fungi, for example. Its intermittent emission prevents a plant from getting too used to ultraviolet rays, promotes a generation of an antibacterial substance, for example, and prevents a leaf scorch. The continuous emission of the visible light enables a promotion of a growth of the plant.

  • Patent number: 8458957
Abstract: A pocket door system with a constant rail system provides a pocket door adapted for sliding into and out of an enclosed wall pocket to enable or prevent egress through a framed door opening. The pocket door includes a roller mechanism mounted at a top surface and a slotted lower guide mechanism mounted at a bottom surface. A floor track with a vertically extending, flat, planar protruding plate element is mounted upon a floor surface is secluded within the enclosed wall pocket. The vertically extending, flat, planar protruding plate element is insertable into the corresponding vertically extending flat, planar slot of the guide mechanism. The roller mechanism of the pocket door system engages an upper track as the lower guide mechanism engages with the protruding element guide wherein the pocket door slides into and out of the enclosed wall pocket without wobbling and dislocating from the tracks during use.

Abstract: A vehicle door frame structure has an upper sash member located along a roof panel of a vehicle body and also has a vertical pillar sash member located along a center pillar of the vehicle body. The upper sash member has, at its linear end joined to the vertical pillar sash member side, an aesthetically designed section and an inner frame portion. The aesthetically designed section is located on the outer side of the door, and the inner frame portion is located closer to the vehicle interior than the aesthetically designed section and is shorter in length than the aesthetically designed section. The vertical pillar sash member has at its upper end a superposed contact section that is superposed, in the direction of the thickness of the door, on an end of the inner frame portion of the upper sash member, and the superposed contact section and the inner frame portion are joined together while being superposed on each other.

Abstract: Head curtains for dock shelters or dock seals are disclosed. An example dock apparatus disclosed herein includes a first weather barrier and a second weather barrier. The first and second weather barriers are positioned laterally of a doorway of a loading dock and compressible by a vehicle. The lateral weather barriers include inner surfaces that are to bulge toward each other in response to the vehicle compressing the lateral weather barriers. A head curtain is at least partially positioned between the lateral weather barriers and being engagable by the vehicle, the head curtain having a lateral stiffness such that in response to the vehicle engaging the head curtain and compressing the lateral weather barriers, the head curtain becomes pinched between the bulging inner surfaces to restrict a vertical movement of the curtain.
