  • Patent number: 8607387
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a gelastic cushion. The gelastic cushion is made from a conventional gelastic composition. The gelastic cushion has a structure having a first wall that defines an opening area and buckles when a force is applied to the first wall. When the first wall buckles a predetermined amount, a second wall, interconnected to the first wall, also buckles. The second wall decreases the chance that the first wall bottoms out. Bottoming out increases the pressure on the patient (a.k.a., the force) overlying the gelastic cushion. That increased pressure is undesirable.

  • Patent number: 8607421
Abstract: A clamp fitting (1) for a hose end (80) is described which employs a hose clamp (2) and at least one support element (4). The support element (4) includes a substantially U-shaped section in which the hose source (2) is held. An extension section (10) is located at this U-shaped section, said extension section including at least one engagement element (14, 15). The end of the at least one engagement element (14, 15) has sharp edges. The ends can also be designed in pointed fashion. If the clamp fitting is attached to a hose, the engagement elements penetrate the hose by way of these ends. This arrangement prevents further slipping of the clamp fitting attached to the hose.

  • Patent number: 8607426
Abstract: A method and apparatus for automated valve spring assembly includes a head assembly with elongated passageways that movably support a pair of retainer keys. A pair of control members selectively close off the passageways. The head assembly further includes a moveable divider plate and a pair of jaws. A push member or rod closes off the passageways by shifting the control members upon movement of the pushrod. The pushrod also slides the retainer keys such that the retainer keys contact tapered inner surfaces of the jaws and rotate the jaws outwardly. The retainer keys are thereby axially positioned relative to the end of a valve stem. The retainer plate is then retracted, and the jaws shift inwardly and push or position the retainer keys on the valve stem.

  • Patent number: 8607427
Abstract: A positioning device of a position sensor that does not require re-positioning and re-fastening at the time of mounting the position sensor. A positioning tool provided with a driving section and a positioning section is mounted on a position sensor. Then, positioning projections of the positioning section are engaged with neutral position grooves. In this state, the positioning section is rotated by the driving section so as to have the position sensor rotated together until the R-contact turns ON, so that an angle from N to R, i.e. from a neutral position to a reverse contact ON position is measured. Thereafter, the positioning section is rotated in an opposite direction to measure an angle from N to D, i.e. from a reverse contact OFF position to a drive contact ON position. Based on the measurement result, the positioning section is re-rotated by the driving section to move the position sensor to a proper neutral position. The position sensor is fastened in this condition.
