Abstract: In a strength gate of a shift lever device, a shift hole is provided with an automatic transmission hole, a manual transmission hole, and a communication hole. The strength gate is provided with a peninsular portion that is adjacent to the automatic transmission hole, the manual transmission hole and the communication hole, and an opposing portion that is on the opposite side of the manual transmission hole to the peninsular portion. The peninsular portion is disposed to a front side with respect to the opposing portion. A reduction in the size of the peninsular portion along the vehicle left-right direction can accordingly be suppressed even if the strength gate is reduced in size along the vehicle left-right direction, thereby enabling a reduction in the strength of the peninsular portion to be suppressed.

Abstract: A differential cylinder for a hydro-mechanical drive for actuating an electric switch, for example, a high-voltage switch, can include a first pressure area to be loaded with an operating pressure, a second pressure area, and a piston which can be moved in a movement range as a function of the pressure difference between the first and second pressure area. A damping device is provided which, during a movement of the piston in the direction of the second pressure area in one section of the movement range, provides damping against the movement of the piston, wherein the damping is adjustable.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for operating a positioning actuator system with an electronically commutated actuator drive for driving an actuator element, having the following steps: non-volatile storage of a position information item of the actuator element or of a rotor of the actuator drive which was detected last as a reference position before the positioning actuator system is switched off; in the case of switching on of the positioning actuator system retrieval of the reference position and actuation of the actuator drive by energizing the actuator drive in accordance with a space phasor which is dependent on the reference position. The object is to make available an improved method for releasing blockage of an actuator element or actuation after activation of a motor system with a maximum actuating torque. For positioning actuators with commutated motors such as, for example, synchronous motors.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for dehumidifying air by establishing a humidity gradient across a water selective permeable membrane in a dehumidification unit. Water vapor from relatively humid atmospheric air entering the dehumidification unit is extracted by the dehumidification unit without substantial condensation into a low pressure water vapor chamber operating at a partial pressure of water vapor lower than the partial pressure of water vapor in the relatively humid atmospheric air. For example, water vapor is extracted through a water permeable membrane of the dehumidification unit into the low pressure water vapor chamber. As such, the air exiting the dehumidification unit is less humid than the air entering the dehumidification unit. The low pressure water vapor extracted from the air is subsequently condensed and removed from the system at ambient conditions.

Abstract: In the carbon dioxide separation system, a mixed gas having a carbon dioxide concentration of 3 to 75% is introduced into a primary carbon dioxide separation device equipped with a zeolite membrane for carbon dioxide separation to produce a primary permeated gas having a carbon dioxide concentration of 80% or more on the permeate side of the zeolite membrane and also reduce the carbon dioxide concentration of a primary gas on the non-permeate side of the zeolite membrane to 3 to 15%. Next, the primary gas on the non-permeate side is introduced into a secondary carbon dioxide separation device that employs an amine absorption method or a pressure swing adsorption (PSA) method to produce a secondary separated gas having a carbon dioxide concentration of 80% or more separated by the separation device and also produce a carbon-dioxide-removed gas having a carbon dioxide concentration of 2% or less.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for protecting a hydrogen separation membrane from particulate contaminants in the process of producing or purifying hydrogen by using the separation membrane. The protection layer, wherein a cermet is formed by coating a ceramic and a metal able to cause surface movement of hydrogen molecules and hydrogen atoms to the surface of the separation membrane, plays the role of blocking contact between the separation membrane and particles (contaminant or catalyst) contained in the gas. In this way, it is possible to improve the durability of the hydrogen separation membrane and to minimize effects on the hydrogen permeability of the separation membrane.
