Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a rotating flow generator which is capable of preventing a pipe arrangement from clogging. A rotating flow generator 20 includes a shaft 22 and guide blades 23 secured to the shaft 22. When a current of a processed gas flows from upstream, the blades 23 deflect the air current diagonally in a circumferential direction along the formed shape of the blades 23. The substrate processed gas is controlled in direction by colliding with an inner wall surface of a gas discharge pipe 10, and forms a rotating flow S, which circles at a predetermined pitch along the inner wall surface. This rotating flow collides with the inner wall surface of the pipe 10, thereby suppressing deposition of reaction byproducts of the processed gas on the inner wall surface of the pipe 10.

Abstract: The invention is for an apparatus and method for pumping of electrically conductive liquids such as liquid metals and electrolytes. The apparatus of the present invention is a self-contained direct current (DC) magneto-hydrodynamic (MHD) pump assembly formed by an upper core assembly, lower core assembly, and a flow channel. The flow channel is formed when the upper core assembly and the lower core assembly are put together. Permanent magnets are used to produce magnetic field inside the flow channel. When the flow channel is filled with electrically conductive liquid, the liquid comes into contact with electrodes within the lower core assembly. The electrodes may be used to draw electric current through the liquid, thereby generating MHD force onto it. As a result, a pressure may be generated within the liquid and/or the liquid may be caused to flow.

Abstract: A method produces an assembly unit containing an assembly part having a bore and a sleeve which has a sleeve shaft. The sleeve has a terminal flange that overhangs the sleeve shaft toward the outside, and the sleeve shaft is plugged into the bore. The flange bears against the outer side of the assembly part. A gap between the sleeve and the assembly part is filled with an insulating compound. To produce the assembly unit, the sleeve shaft of a sleeve blank, the flange of which has a preassembly form such that an outer rim of the flange extends in a plane that extends at right angles to the longitudinal center axis of the sleeve shaft such that the flange underside is concave, is plugged into the bore. The sleeve blank deforms such that the insulating compound located between the flange and the assembly part is displaced into the gap.

Abstract: Aspects of the present invention provide a theft-resistant cable clamp that increases the time and effort required to remove the cable from the irrigation equipment, thereby deterring thieves As the extensions that protrude from the cable-reception loop are forced together, the walls of the cable-reception loop compress against the cable. Openings in the extensions on the cable clamp allow the cable clamp to fit over a component of the irrigation equipment. A plurality of teeth can protrude from the perimeter of an opening to grip the exterior of the component. A coupler or other component may have a groove into which the teeth engage when the cable clamp is in a final location on the component.

Abstract: A metallic locking washer is configured to be mounted in a screw/nut system to engage between a nut and a bearing element. The metallic locking washer has a contact face suitable for coming into contact with one or the other of the nut and the bearing element. The contact face has a surface that is suitable for being brought along in friction against one or the other of the nut and the bearing element when the nut loosens. The contact face is coated, by thermal projection of an additive material, with a rough coating forming a rough surface, which increases the friction forces between the contact face of the metallic washer and one or the other of the nut and the bearing element.
