Abstract: Wind Sail Turbines end the fossil fuel age and supply abundant, clean, and very inexpensive electricity (power). The new Wind Sail Turbines produce roughly 10-Fold to 50-Fold more power than existing wind turbines in the same wind path. This patent has the effect of replacing most of the science that is the basis of current Wind Science and current wind turbines. This patent changes the scientific understanding of how to effectively utilize wind and/or water flows to produce energy. Rotor blades, wings, and sails etc. are not airfoils working primarily from lift. These 3 devices are sails that work due to wind collisions. Therefore, sails are newly defined scientifically by the application of the New Wind Power Formula.

Abstract: A wind energy generation turbine is built to take advantage of high winds in mountain passes and other areas of extreme wind velocity. A windmill section is raised high by support structures. Electricity generators are kept in the base of the windmill to reduce elevated weight. A nozzle or shroud channels wind into a narrow raceway to take advantage of the Venturi effect. Windmill blade tips housed within a circular raceway are strengthened by blade tip connectors and blade spar struts against high wind forces. Windmill blade angle and windmill wind facing are dynamically altered by computerized motors for maximum efficiency. Windmill blade angle and/or generator load maintain ratio of windmill blade tip speed to wind speed for efficiency. Turbine speed translation gears are able to decouple windmill from 60 Hz cycle or use water pumps and gravity to store energy at peak generation times.

Abstract: A technique employs a system and methodology for improving sand control in pumps. The technique may be used in centrifugal pumps by providing uniquely constructed rib feature to facilitate sand control and thus reduction of erosion due to sand in the pumped fluid. The improved sand control is useful in centrifugal pumps employed in a variety of oilfield applications, such as in electric submersible pumping systems positioned downhole in a wellbore to pump oil or other fluids. The rib feature may be used in combination with a shield and arranged along diffuser bowl walls or other diffuser walls within sequential pump stages.

The collet body comprises not only a plurality of gripping finger as a first part of a two-part anti-rotation means (ARM), but also a first part of a two part translation arresting means (TAM), which may or may not be sectional in nature. The TAM prevents over translation of a collet body within the work piece(s), and cooperates with a second part of the TAM associated with a work piece or an auxiliary structure. In this manner, a collet body inserted into a work piece or auxiliary structure will not accidentally be pushed beyond the blind side of the work piece(s) during insertion or initial clamp-up.
